I had to pick my jaw up off the floor this afternoon. On CNN's "Inside Politics" show, Candy Crowley led Bay Buchanan and Donna Brazile in a stunningly even-handed discussion of the SBVT debate. Whenever Brazile tried to mislead or evade, Crowley called her on it.

What does it signify if even CNN is presenting the issue fairly?

Honestly, that Candy Crowley would be even-handed is just astounding to me. It about knocked me off of my chair!

Wolf Blitzer, Aaron Brown, Judy Woodruff and Candy Crowley - the LAST thing I expect from them is anything that will hurt a Democratic candidate.

Maybe some of them have read some of the many stinging accusations that the MSM has not been doing its job?

I think MSM was waiting for a "real" Kerry response which came this morning. When Kerry launched the attack, it became a real issue.

The Kerry camp attack on Thurlow's bronze star will go down as a severe self-inflected wound....maybe JFK should apply for another purple heart

If the MSM appears to be taking this issue seriously at all --- they know there is blood in the water and are saving their own hides, by trying to appear that they are not carrying water for Kerry's any more. Otherwise they loose the remaining thin threads of credibility that they might have with the vast majority of Americans who are to the right of their leftist leanings ---Hell they have to eat too, and ride in limos, and stay at hotels, nice vacations, big houses, etc, etc, etc ...

I think the reason the MSM is getting on this now....is because they buried their heads in the sand hoping it would go away...and it didn't....because the swiftvets are not going to let this go away until AFTER the election. John Kerry has some real questions to answer. He has already been caught in the lie about Cambodia, the lie about his boat bugging out vs staying...so two of the John Kerry's memories have already been recanted and revised by the Kerry campaign. Guess Kerry doesn't really know what seared in ones memory means...
