Wolf Blitzer begging Bush Campaign to Condemn Swift-Vets. He asked the same question over and over....at least 5 times.

In a slight of hand Blitzer assert that McCain has condemned THESE Ads by the Swift Vets. To my knowledge McCain has said NOTHING about the new Ad.

If Bush gets into the business of approving or condemning specific Ads, it clearly becomes a coordination of the 527 groups. That is not legal.

The better question for Wolfie to ask McCain is "What EVER possessed you to write this STUPID campaign finance law?"

The ads must be having an effect as I don't recall Wolf begging John Kerry to condemn Michael Moore, any anti-Bush ads, any anti-Bush books ect ect. Can you say hypocrit!

The real goal of campaign finance laws is to protect incumbents . These laws make it hard to bet a sitting Senator.

I've written to both the RNC website and the white house, stating that they should not denounce the swift vets ads.

Bush didn't start it, he can't stop it.

low26, don't sugarcoat it, how do you REALLY feel?

The REAL goal of campaign finance reform is to squelch the 1st Amendment. Unless you file a 527, you just can't say much of anything about anyone without risking the chance of making gravel from boulders. It's called "Government Sanctioned Free Speech", and it's just a BAD law all the way around.
