When driving home from work today 550 WSAU radio in Wausau mentioned there would be a Pro Kerry Vet Rally at 3:30 p.m today.
The broadcaster said that a Swift Boat Vet from Kerry's unit (a gentleman from Minnesota) would be in attendance and would be making a speech on behalf of Kerry.
I didn't catch the person's name. Is this someone new to the game, or one of the few that do support him?
I will watch the 10:00 local news and see how they cover it.
By the way, I am new to the site and have donated to the cause. I cannot tell you how proud I am of the Swift Boat Vets. It is gentleman like you that inspired me to serve in the Army from 89-92. Combat Veterans, both living and dead, are my heros, role models, and the ultimate Americans in my book. God bless each and every one of you... |

My guess is it's one of the few supporters and they use the name Swift Boat Vets to try to show contention and division within the group. I put nothing past them. _________________ Clark County Conservative |

Well, Kerry's supporters are swift boat vets -- however, they are not the SBVFT. |

I missed the news at 10 because I was online, but wouldn't expect the local news stations to tell the viewership one way or another what the deal was anyway.....
Local news and radio broadcasts can sure make your heart race. The newstory sure made it seem like there was "someone in the know" that was going to be there in support of Kerry.
The same radio station had a ABC news update today that announced military records proved beyond a shadow of a doubt (paraphrase) that there was enemy fire when Kerry recieved his bronze star. Of course they don't mention that many suspect it was Kerry's own after action report which prompted the medal. Typical crappy reporting!!!! |
