Does anyone know of anything the Swift Boat Vets are saying that has been "proven false"?
Anything? Anything at all?
A typo, an incorrect date? Anything?
Clearly, there are things still disputed (Kerry, for example, disputes everything), but is anything yet been proven false or incorrect? _________________ Talking point #1: Sign 180

Only that Larry Thurlow's assertion that there was "NO" hostile fire on 3/13/69 when he and Kerry got their Bronze Stars was wrong because his own citation specifies hostile fire. (I guess they think God wrote all those Navy records and are therefore infallable.) |

Well I hear there are some dimmies who believe Kerry is God! _________________ A Grunt

That is incorrect. Thurlow, along with three others who were there, all have signed affidavits that there was no enemy fire. The after action report, which Kerry wrote up, said there was, and Thurlow's Bronze Star citation uses that phraseology. That does not make Thurlow's assertion incorrect or false. It makes the record that Kerry submitted false.
Let's keep our facts straight. _________________ antimedia

So far, Kerry-0 == SwiftVets-2 (on admitted/decided points.)
1) "Christmas in Cambodia" (four changes to Kerry's story already)
2) "The other boats fled, I went back alone" (Sandusky, Kerry's pilot
outed him on this one today by EXPLAINING WHY Kerry's boat left
while the others were working to save the 3-boat)
Quote: | Last week, O'Neill pointed out, Kerry was forced to revise his
decades-long contention he was on a secret mission in Cambodia on
Christmas Eve 1968.
Also, said O'Neill, Kerry closed the Democratic National Convention
with a story in which he claimed that five swiftboats fled on March 13,
1969, after a mine explosion and only he came back to rescue Lt.
James Rassman. His campaign now is admitting that he fled and the
rest stayed, before he later returned for Rassman.

One thing that has been really bothering me when I see the media who generally know nothing about military procedures, keep saying things like "the Navy says" or " Naval records indicate". These Officers and Chain-of-Command Officers exist as the "Word" of the Navy. They are the Navy! |
