Uh-oh, the Holzers are on it, now. Shocked

John Kerry's Mysterious Combat “V”
By Henry Mark Holzer and Erika Holzer
FrontPageMagazine.com | August 20, 2004

As the authors of Fake Warriors: Identifying, Exposing and Punishing Those Who Falsify Their Military Service, we receive scores of emails on our website either asking questions about the Fake Warrior phenomenon (which has reached epidemic proportions), or reporting sightings which sometimes lead to exposure and even fines or jail terms.

(snipped)

Kerry's DD 214 lists a Silver Star with a combat “V” (for valor). As the major correctly observes, the “V” is never awarded with the Silver Star. But the actual wording on Kerry’s DD 214 (see www.johnkerry.com) is: “SILVER STAR WITH COMBAT ‘V’.”

(snipped)

Because the “V” is authorized for only the ten awards cited above, but not for the Silver Star, Kerry’s Silver Star citation (the “explanation” of why the award was made) does not even mention the “V” for valor (see www.johnkerry.com).

The presence of the combat “V” with Kerry’s Silver Star on his DD 214 raises two extremely disquieting questions. How did the unauthorized “V” get there, and why has Kerry allowed it to remain?

The first question should not be taken lightly because we are talking about possible federal crimes. We are talking about the possibility of a forged official document. We are talking, as well, about Title 18, United States Code, Section 1001, which states: “[W]hoever, in any manner within the jurisdiction of the executive, legislative, or judicial branch of the United States, knowingly and willfully . . . makes or uses any false writing or document knowing the same to contain any materially false, fictitious, or fraudulent statement or entry, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than 5 years or both.”

Was the combat “V” added by a sloppy clerk or a yeoman’s typo thirty years ago? Was someone pressured or persuaded to add it? If Kerry had nothing to do with the gratuitously added combat “V,” why didn’t he have his DD 214 corrected when he was separated from the Navy?

Which gives rise to the second disturbing question: If Kerry was not a party to the unauthorized “V,” why, for all these years, has he allowed his DD 214 to remain uncorrected and to repose on his website?

In light of the recent Swift Boat revelations and the cloud they have cast over Kerry’s awards, one plausible answer is that this is yet another example of Kerry’s multiple, and increasingly transparent, lies about his alleged heroics in Vietnam.

Let’s hope it won’t take a controversial TV spot to spark a mainstream media investigation of how candidate Kerry received an unearned “V” for valor.

He does have a correction (DD215, but it doesn't mention the Valor device.

WHEN was the correction made?

Will THIS be enough for the MSM and DNC to realize and admit that they've made an awful (no, catastrophic) mistake by attempting to hand our nation over to this man (difficult to use that term here) at such a critical point in time for our nation's security and the well being of it's citizens?

No.

(Short answer. Wink )

I don't think anything is capable of shaking the MSM into realizing that this man is a menace to our country.

I looked at the documents on Kerry's website...the Silver Star citation says nothing anywhere about the "V"? Form DD214 does state Silver Star with a combat "V", but it really could have been a typo. Although, looks like he'd notice and correct. Form DD215 doesn't mention the Silver Star at all?

More thoughts please. You guys know this stuff best. Is there anything that would prove Kerry falsified a document? (Please!)

No, the citation would never indicate a valor device for the SS. It's just not done.

That it's on his DD-214 is probably a typo... but in true Kerry fashion, it's a convenient typo that helps make him more than he is... so he lets it stand.

He files a correction (DD-215) to upgrade and add devices and awards that weren't on his original DD-214... but not to remove the valor notation on the SS.

You have to be looking at your 214 in order to know what to put on the 215... so how did he miss something like a V on a SS unless he wanted to miss it?

Any bets on how long that will stay on his site? Wink

Thank you so very much for explaining that to me. I was confused looking at the 215, because it wasn't to correct the "typo"!

As you pointed out - leave it since it adds to your hero status (well, in his mind anyway....)

Reminds me of something my husband used to say.....I'm a legend in my own mind.

BTW, did any of you read the stuff I posted earlier (his dossier)? What a monster!

Abandoning a sick and suicidal wife with two small children??? Remaining married to her then six years after leaving her and 18 years of marriage requesting and receiving an annulment so he could marry Teresa?????

Not only that, he had Navy Secretary Lehman re-write his SS citation years later, ostensibly to correct something. Why not correct EVERYTHING at the same time?

This is great. Even more evidence that anything to do with kerry is a fraud at worst and a 35 year old uncorrected mistake at best. He's phonier than a $3.00 bill, and every story that comes out further illustrates that. If it wasn't so serious and if there wasn't so much at risk if he is elected, it would be funny. As it is, it makes me scared to death for the security and wellfare of the United States and her military forces abroad, and makes me want to puke that there is even the possibility that he will be elected.
