I have heard O'Neill etc. say in many interviews that none of the boats involved in the mine explosion (PCF-3)/Rassman episode were hit by enemy fire (bullets etc.... since there was none of course)... are there any damage reports that show this that are online anywhere? |

I'd like to have it clarified if Kerry has stated that during this incident the others fled and he stayed.
Anyone have any documentation on this? |

About the Rassmann incident, I've heard the term 'command detonated
mine' used...
How was that determination (detonated by command) made?
Were wires found?
Did anyone go ashore? |

Virtually every underwater mine in Vietnam was command detonated. They didn't have magnetic detonation mines. Radio detonation available at the time would not work underwater. _________________ On Sale!
