Just heard on my local news here in Green Bay that the Veterans for Kerry will be using Wisconsin's war memorials to further their politics.
Kerry's supporters to defend use of memorials in campaigns
WGBA-TV
USA - Veterans: Kerry supporters shouldn't use memorials to further politics
Some veterans say John Kerry supporters shouldn't use Wisconsin's war memorials to further their politics.
The group "Veterans for Kerry" is touring several war memorials around Wisconsin beginning in Superior and ending in Milwaukee Sunday, with ten stops in between.
Vietnam vet Durbin Keeney says memorials are not political ground and shouldn't be used in a partisan way.
The Kerry campaign says they'll talk about better benefits for veterans during their stops at the memorials.
Lou Ellingson is involved with "Veterans for Kerry" and says they're honoring fellow veterans who have fallen, died or are wounded.
Crewmates who served with Kerry in Vietnam and also former U-S
Senator Max Cleland are participating in the four-day swing through
Wisconsin.
Stops include Rice Lake, Eau Claire, Arcadia, La Crosse,
Neillsville, Wausau, Plover, Green Bay, Waukesha and Madison.

Waukesha may just kick them out! They are a bastion for Bush! I dare them to come to Racine County! _________________ What we do in life, echoes in eternity. Marcus Aurelius, 180 A.D. |

Looks to me like Kerry is trying to BUY some votes. _________________ "If he believes his 1971 indictment of his country and his fellow veterans was true, then he couldn't possibly be proud of his Vietnam service." |

If Kerry's so all-fired dedicated to the military, how cum he hasn't visited the troops in Iraq? Even Hillary did that much, even tho' she made 'em wait and many wouldn't eat with her. _________________ '58 Airedale HMR(L)-261 VMO-2 |
