If the idea is for as many poeple as possible to see the commercial
it should play automatically

With all due respect, only the commercial is going to change peoples minds.

SwiftVets.com raised $300,000 on thursday when the commericial was
laoding automatically.

Why fix something that isn't broke.

why isn't there a link to the first commercial.

You are going to get complaints no matter what method you use.

People with slow dial will just have to wait.

Having the ad play automatically was slowing down the site

It wasn't afffecting just dial-up users. I have a fast cable connection and any page was taking about 5 minutes to load. I just gave up after a while and came back later. I thought it might be a DOS attack at first

In a way this is a good problem to have(the traffic), but you don't want to lose first time visitors.

The slowdowns occur when something new comes out, so maybe the site admins could have a rush hour solution and a normal traffic solution.

I usually just jump into the forums, since I've seen all the stuff on the first page(http://www.swiftvets.com/phpBB2).

I'm not sure if this is possible, but is there any way to separate/reroute forum users from people going to the home page? It would definately speed things up for both type of visitors. Not sure if I'm explaining this correctly

Either way, the site admins and mods are doing a great job! Did you guys expect this overwhelming response before you got famous?
