There really should be a moderated mailing list for SIGNIFICANT events.
For those that don't read the site or search the blogs.
What about lists to the Vets and current Military groups?
(The military might be prohibited but maybe the WIVES can)?
What about a wives (parents, husbands) GROUP that mails LOW VOLUME but very factual info out that they can share with each other and with the actual military members?
The power of one or two items IN YOUR EMAIL (not spam) can be very powerful.

Mailing lists are very easy to set up and administer through yahoogroups.com
