JUDGEMENT: On Critics Of The Vietnam War: "Communist Sympathizers"

"It caused me to question anything I hear from Communists or their many sympathizers or copycats or dupes in America who tended then -- and still tend -- to distort the truth for their personal gain, or even (gasp) to lie if that will achieve the desired end." (Richmond Times Dispatch, 6/17/01)

I thought the opening of the KGBs archives prety much established communists were funding many of the anti-war activities.

"I had a great final three years in the Navy despite the devastation Carter's policies had wrought on the military. My last Navy year was under one of the finest-ever Commanders-in- Chief, who led the country out of Jimmy Carter's unlamented and self-caused "malaise."" (Richmond Times Dispatch, 6/17/01)

The "hollow-military" of the Carter era was a well documented fact. Reagan said "When I took office in 1981, I was appalled by what I found: American planes that could not fly and American ships that could not sail"

Thank you for the info, but please, let's copy only the particulars of an interesting article into this board and provide a link to the entire article.

And add your own comments to the excerpts - what impressed you, what you agree or disagree with.

This material is copyrighted and shouldn't be posted outside the standards of "fair use," which is limited to quoting only illustrative excerpts from an essay or story.

I've broken this code a few times, myself, but really we need to be scrupulous in our regard for the copyrights on the intellectual property of others.

Thanks!

Boy, the liberal media is really getting exercised.

If we conservatives give to support our convictions or speak our minds we are castigated as being right wing scum etc. Of course they (the liberal media) will never reveal all the donations from their liberal friends or quote their hatefull words.
