In an AP story
Kerry Urges Bush to Demand Attacks Stop
It covers several things but what cought my attention it was talking about the story from Mr. Rood and another fellow named Wayne D. Langhofer.
Here is part of what it said
Quote: | Kerry also picked up support from Wayne D. Langhofer, who told The Washington Post he was manning a machine gun in a boat behind Kerry's and saw firing from both banks of a river as Kerry dived in to rescue Special Forces soldier James Rassmann, the basis for Kerry's Bronze Star. |
Ok so is this a new version? Now Kerry is diving into the river. _________________ Remember United Flight 93, "Are you guys ready? Let's roll."

What ever happened to "Bring it on!" I think Kerry said that Thursday.

I'm actually living in joy right now -- JK is going down -- it might be real messy, but justice is sweet, nonetheless. |

Agreed....I am estatic. Sure the SBVT are taking a few hits w/r/t credibility but that is more due to provable dirty tricks (the flyer....which will backfire), and simple carelessness (the former POW in the second ad). FWIW, that POW IIRC was never a member of SBVT...and was simply careless.
However, look at it from Kerry's perspective. Kerry desperately hopes this issue will go away. He wants to be talking about the ecomony, Bush's "failed" Iraq policy, and much, much more. He desperately needs to pull as much of a lead as possible before the RNC.
Now look at what's happened since the SBVT really entered the national stage. Kerry's poll numbers are tanking, his support with veterans is crumbling, he has been forced to spend precious campaign money in August, and most importantly he has looked like a cry-baby and a hypocrit.
His actions this past week have proven beyond a shadow of a doubt that he is not presidential material...and those actions are having an opposite effect in enhancing our credibility. Moreover, they are making a sizable chunk of the electorate openly doubt Kerry...and that means that Bush may well get a sizeable bounce from his own convention.
Bottom line....the attacks are vicious...but we should be estatic. Kerry is indeed terrified. _________________ -Polaris
