I'm US Army 71-73, but spent my hitch in Military District Washington.

Unlike most of you, the biggest problem I had was dealing with Kerry's friends who would catch me after work in uniform. Some of those people were the most hateful people I every ran into. They hated the uniform and anybody wearing it.

My father was a career Marine with one tour in Vietnam(68-69).

We are both pissed as hell and for the first time in my life, I have made two contributions to political campaigns. I have contributed directly to George Bush and to this fine organization. This story needs to get out.

Good luck and I want to see the ads running until the election.

Do not let Kerry and his goons silence you!!!

Actually, I think if you do some research on Johnson's Silver Star, his mission lasted more than 13 minutes. Still, the gist of the story is true, he didn't come under any fire. It was a mission out of Australia going to New Guinea, and his plane suffered generator failure about 10 minutes before the rest of the flight encountered Zeros. Just before takeoff another guy swapped planes with Johnson (when Johnson went to the bathroom). That saved LBJ's life, as the plane was shot down and all the crew was KIA. I've always hated Johnson. Sad

Isn't it amazing, how SOME politicians can be so opportunistic?Whatever is "cool"or "in" at the time, they're on it like flies on poopy.Kind of reminds me of my 11-year-old daughter, jumping on the latest fad.The military has regained it's respect, for the most part, and now it's cool, once again,to be associated with the military.Just imagine if this was 1974 and Kerry was running for president.Think he'd be touting his "war record"or using his veteran status as campaign props?Doubt it.He'd probably swear up and down he was never even IN the military, his family was never in the military, none of his friends were in the military, his freakin'DOG wasn't even in the military. Is it just me,or does it seem like Kerry has been watching too many war movies like Platoon,Apocalypse Now,the one with Sean Penn and Michael J.Fox---it was so lousy,I can't recall the name.Alot of what Kerry spews sounds like it came right off a script!!

Kerry has been watching his own movies. If you haven't read the Boston Globe article that talks about him watching his own war movies, you should. They describe him watching them on a big screen TV, stopping and starting, pointing out bullet holes in the boat, etc., etc. It's enough to make you want to vomit.

I never served in a combat zone, but I know many guys who did. Never met anyone who wanted to relive the experience. Makes you wonder if he ever really saw any serious combat. You know, the kind where all hell breaks loose and you pray you live through it while you hold the trigger down. The kind that Joe Muharsky describes.

The whole Harkins issue is old news, many years. Unfortunately it didn't make mainsteam back when the Clintonistas were in power.

Kerry asking Bush to make Swfit Boat vets shut up is asking the government to violate their 1st Amendment Rights. Are we living the dream that only liberals have free speech in this country?

Want to be really pissed, read Stolen Valor. Makes you sick. In the last 30 years I have encountered many who lied about their service. An old Tech Sgt told me once, "never lie about your service, someone else was there". I guess Kerry didn't have a good CPO or PO1 on his boat that cared about him.

Okay, Kerry was in Vietnam. Was he a hero for pulling a shipmate back in? No, it was his job. How many grunts have pulled a buddy back in or how many medics or corpsmen have done the same? How many aircrew members pulled a buddy from a crash? Vietnam had many true heroes in all the services, "he ain't one". He was a sailor doing his duty.

Guess Kerry never read the Ranger creed or any other leadership manuals or field guides.

My biggest heartburn came when he stood on the podium and saluted and reported for duty. After his post-'Nam activities and what he said, I felt a slap in the face from another politician. He was a ticket puncher. you can't tell me that he hadn't planned his whole career beforehand. He wasn't an 18 year old draftee remember. Track his personal life too. The women he dated(Kennedy relative, heiresses). He's a male Gold digger.

Okay, enough. As you can see I see this man as evil, manipulative and fake.

Check six

Maybe a site like http://www.authentiseal.org/ could be used as a pattern. These SEALs take it seriously and have exposed all kinds of frauds. There's a lot more of them out there that need to be exposed.

The way Harkin and McCain have been acting and the things they've been saying recently leads me to believe they, too, shall one day not recognize their own wives. A terrible diseaase, Alzheimer's.
