Earlier this summer, people weren't looking for it.

It is a hot item on eBay

I'd give you a link to the completed items (sold), but you need to log into eBay to see 'em.

Alibris has a used copy for $727
ABE has it for $750 (they also have the 1971 transcript)
Amazon.com has used copies starting at $475
(I loved the recommended sectioned here!) Very Happy

There were a couple on Amazon used/new for Plus/Minus $500 last night.

I almost bought it to run through the scanner

Just launch it out there and let it be copied. Samisdaat the Russians used to call it.

Is it really that bad?

Nyet, Ya ne ponimaiyu Ruskava yazika.

I studied it three years in high school and never used it enough.

You?

Now I am studing Arabic -- getting close to understanding Al Jazeera but Swift boat fun is eating into my study and "cable news" time is going to English instead of Al Jazeera.

Yes, people are more interested in the book now than they were then, but earlier this summer Kerry was still the nominee. Meanwhile, while many on talk radio were complaining how it was impossible to get a copy, I looked in my library and there it was.

The book is out of print and therefore rare, but not so rare that is removed from public view. Kerry doesn't own the copyright so it isn't up to him whether the book is reprinted or not. Furthermore, if there was an orchestrated campaign to destroy the book, then it would be quite easy to remove the books from the library. (Sean Hannity says he has a copy and so do I.)

It's available on line as a DVD for about 12 bucks. Ask NNN for the link or do a search. I'd give it to you but my main machine is down.

If you found one at a reasonable price, I'd be very surprised. eBay sold one for about $1,000 not long ago. Owners know it's a hot item since Kerry's people have tried to buy up every copy out there to hide it.

Oh, please. My local public library has a copy. It's out now, but was available earlier this summer.

Good point. Always check with your local library, if they don't have a book, ask about Inter-Library-Loan, they can probably get what you need within a week.

www.wintersoldier.com
I began reading the preface there. Isn't the whole book available to read online?

I ordered a copy from www.booksamillion.com. They have some coming in Monday or Tuesday and they said the order should ship within 24 hours of its receipt.

The lady there said they are getting lots of calls and can't keep up with demand. Mine was $19.56 plus shipping.
