Olbermann and MSNBC are harshly noting that Bob Dole is a hypocrite in regard to his own "self-inlflicted" wound from a errant grenade thrown in a tree by a fellow soldier. Apparently, Olbermann quoted a few newspapers that are running with this angle.

Not well. They attempted to attack him in '92 and '96 and it boomeranged on them!

Too bad it's only those who fall into their web of deceit.

Rush brought out today that back in 1996, it was Dole being attacked for this during his bid for the Presidency. Today, they cry and whine like little babies because the same allegations are leveled against Kerry. Dole laid on the battlefield for hours before taken to the hopsital where he laid much longer and today, is disabled. Kerry got a scratch, never spent time in the hospital and is not disabled.

It's okay to question and slander Dole's war record, but not John "F"in Kerry's.

Someone posted an ols article about Dole in his Presidential Run, where this type of attack was leveled against him.
Some real nitpicking, the man was wounded twice, first time he was in a hospital for a couple days and the second sent him home and has left him with a crippled arm.
They can not attack SBVFT, so they go after Bob Dole instead!

A grenade from your buddy DURING COMBAT is a lot different than your own with no hostile fire and then DEMANDING a purple heart.

Max Cleeland's wound's are from him picking up a buddies grenade not knowing the pin had been removed. No one makes a big deal about they were genuine wounds.

If Dole is open season I'm not sure I could take that.

Frankly, this whole thing has gotten way out of hand and has turned my stomach inside out. What a repulsive site we (Americans) are.

And to think, we're trying to convince the rest of the world that "our's" is the society to strive/fight/die for?

None of this had to happen! I simply, for the very life of me, do not understand WHY everyone isn't demanding Kerry to release the freakin' records. This would all be over in a New York minute if he'd be man enough to let the truth out. Obviously, he can't do that or he already would have. But WHY doesn't that make sense to the "other side" (i.e., the ordinary, run-of-the-mill American citizen supporting him)?

WHY do they not find it odd that he won't release the truth and put an end to this nonsense? It makes no sense to me.

Dole was in the hospital longer than Kerry was actually "in country" on the Swiftboats. And Dole never tried to ride his veteran status into office while obscuring his Senate service.

Let the media find 255 veterans that will come out against Dole's medals, heroism or valor. Fat chance.

I believe the differences are:

1) Dole *admitted* the wounds were not serious (even superficial), was even embarrassed they were self-inflicted and did not embelish/lie/enhance
2) Dole was awarded the PH and did not apply/campaign/re-apply for it

Olbermann has turned into Ted Rall. Dole was in the hospital for over three years. He deserved move from this country than what he got.

The left and its minions are like a blind beast that lashes out at anyone that hinders their message. It really is frightening. Sometimes MSNBC strikes me as an extension of the Kerry/Edwards campaign with its selective use and clever omission of "facts." They should discard the peacock completely and replace it with the DNC jackass.

MSNBC seems like they are in on the Kerry staff meetings where they tell their minions what the spin of the day is.
