I already have the book naturally but wanted to see if the local store had any copies so stopped after work last night. Nope, asked why, they told me that the store had never received any copies and that if I wanted one I could order it. I asked them if they thought it a little strange that the #1 book on the NYT book list would be absent from their shelves. They claimed it wasn't their fault because apparently the Publisher hadn't made enough copies. I pointed out that the publisher had produced 550,000 copies. They didn't have much to say after that.
Will check Books a Million Tonight.
Just a FYI. _________________ Pierre Legrand

had a tussle with Barnes myself - note on that has been moved to the Book section here. Anyway, I eventually DID get a copy -- but you have to climb all over them... their comment to me as to why they didn't have the book stocked was : We didn't believe it would sell. |

Remember who these stores are that won't carry and stock the book. They are the enemy and after this is all over I suggest a boycott and a list of who was against us. I will no longer shop at Barnes and Noble, thanks for the information. |

Been looking for the book all over. The B&N here in Chesapeake told me that they received a rush shipment on Friday and sold all 75 books in less than an hour. Most stores in the area are out and don't expect to get more for several weeks. If you want one get it on order so this does not fall of the radar. _________________ MKJ |

Barnes & Noble here in Iowa says they've never received any copies, either. They have been very nice about it, and the last time I called the lady said they were anxious to get it. |
