The regular mainstream media NEVER bothered to pick up the story of the swift boat veterans for truth. They totally swept it under the rug. Now that they think they can prove that Bush financed to whole project, they are running with the story like there's no tomorrow.
But, there's something they missed:
Now that they are picking up the story (months after the fact), why are they not asking John Kerry to respond. Instead, they are busy trying to link Bush to the Swift Boat accusations. They are so obviously trying to put Bush on the defensive. Instead of asking "is Bush at the heart of these accusations?" why don't they ask, "Are these accusations true?". Correct me if I'm wrong but, if the accusations against Kerry are true (and they are) then why would it matter WHO is making them?
The whole thing is such a fallacy of logic it makes me sick that the media is even attempting it. Slippery Slope + Straw Man = CNN(MSNBC*AP). But, what is sicker is that the liberal dope-smoking sheep are eating it up. _________________ www.patrioticforums.com |

Aside from their arrogance regarding a story the PUBLIC wanted that they had not picked up on themselves (ignored SBFVT 5/4/04 press conf) --
I am wondering, in addition to any of their personal agenda-driven backing of Kerry, if there is anything to the fact that we are now close to the election, and they must have had all kinds of pre-packaged programs good to go, and here came this lateral story that messed up their plans and their shows, so they tried to kill it. Just a thought.
Pretty pathetic the way they've been TRYING DESPERATELY to dismiss and twist the facts here - especially in regurgitating the dem talking points and buying into the Kerry smokescreen.... all along smearing honorable Viet Nam veterans for the sake of one dishonorable man -- wait, hasn't this happened before???
The media, in general, will have to live with their shame for smearing the SwiftVets by the time the Swiftees are done with Kerry!! Having the soldiers take him down is such sweet justice. !! |

The media is slanted - but not so devious. They are picking this up now only because the realize people are interested. This sells papers and ad time. They also sense that there may be something here and they don't want to get out-scooped by the competition. Sure - their reaction is slow, but it is starting to come around. We have to stay on target and fire for effect. No surrender... _________________

And I am patiently waiting for them to get "on target." Bits here and there show some awareness .. and I do have some hope ... As for us, supporters of /and the SwiftVets themselves, yes, there is no surrender. That may or may not be getting through to them -- hopefully the more they talk directly to the Swiftees, rather than around them, the more they will realize that this mission is not going away. |

The mainstream media gives me a head ache. Its all about what they can do to hurt Bush. Its never about truth. The mainstream media lost the idea of what truth is a very long time ago. Thing is, these days, theres the internet. The mainstream media can no longer suppress storys. The way to combat the msm is to link your friends to this site, and link them to articles that actually show the truth. The msm has no way to combat that. Niether does Kerry. |

What also sucks is when you see guys like Bill O'reilly, who really seemed to be on the right track at first. But, then he turned out to be as flippy floppy as Kerry. I mean, what does O'Reilly actually believe in other than "I'm right no matter what"? _________________ www.patrioticforums.com |

What I'm struck by is how lazy and misinformed some members of the media are. Some people denouncing SBVT have not even bothered to read the book or visit this website to find out about the group. One member of the media declared John O'Neill a republican because he has donated to republicans. She was caught by surprise when informed O'Neill voted for Gore in the last election.Today Alan Colmes was talking about the Florida flyer as if it was some "smoking gun" when both SBVT and the White House said they had nothing to do with the flyer two days ago. Not to mention that anyone can create a flyer. This is what passes for journalism today? I also noticed that the AP story about Bush and 527s was changed from the original story about Bush denouncing all 527 ads to one saying he came out against the anti-Kerry SBVT ad.Some of it is willful ignorance on the part of the media in pursuit of their agenda to elect John Kerry. Though I've also come to realize that at least some people on the left have little regard for the truth. This has made me even more determine to see Kerry defeated on Nov 2 if for no other reason then to see the media's reaction. |
