Thanks for writing us with your concern. You are not the only eager reader who is frustrated at not being able to obtain a copy of Unfit for Command at your local bookstore. Our printers shipped copies directly to our warehouse and to the warehouses for Amazon, Books-a-Million, B&N, etc. Those companies had to split our shipments up and ship to the individual stores. As we continue to print and ship copies out, this process is repeated. Therefore, there is a slow, but steady stream of books being delivered to the bookstores nearly every day. My local B. Dalton bookstore had two yesterday and I checked again this morning and they had 30. If the stores tell you that the book is being shipped to them, more than likely they sold out of the first handful of copies they received and are waiting for more to arrive.

We actually moved the release date up a month in efforts to get the book out before the election really gets rolling. Our rushing to get the book printed and out the door in record time resulted in this "slow and steady" shipment process. We didn't want to hold all the printed books until we had 100,000 ready to go out the door -- we thought it would be best to start getting the books out there are quickly as possible.
