I think his name is Rich Baker, he can be found on the picture of all the officers of the Swift Vets...It looks like originally, he was "undecided" and then has recently changed sides. It shows up on the main page of this site, where you put your mouse over the picture, and it shows who supporst who.
"August 23 update: The Kerry campaign has evidently persuaded formerly neutral Swift officers Rich McCann and Rich Baker to support John Kerry's candidacy. We have adjusted our graphic display and text to reflect this change.
Only 3 of John Kerry's 23 fellow Swift boat commanders from Coastal Division 11 supports his candidacy today." |

I just wonder how much money or promises are involved. Just a thought, no disrespect meant.

Kerry has been working the phones like a maniac the last two weeks, promising everything but the kitchen sink, and he found a few takes.
Rood in Chicago, Baker, and a couple more.
Won't be enough.

It should be no suprise that someone would be willing to sucumb to the political gimmees. Just because you serve your country does not make you honorable for the entirety of your life.
Look at Kerry, Mcpeak, and McCain. Yuck, I taste vomit when I say there names.

The name is Richard "Skip" Barker. He was a Lt(jg) who served briefly with Kerry. _________________ On Sale! Order in lots of 100 now at velero@rcn.com Free for the cost of shipping All profits (if any, especially now) go to Swiftvets. The author of "Sink Kerry Swiftly" ---ASPB |

Rood didn't even tell a much different story (Silver Star episode) than the book. I have passed along the book to others so I can't look up the specifics, but the only disagreement I remember was that there may have been two solders in the second ambush site instead of one, and they may have been older than teenagers. Rood remembers that the rocket launcher was loaded, the books says they had conflicting reports. He also said if I remeber correctly that both his boat and Kerry's were there. So we have two gunboats with at least 12 armed men (maybe more if they had some of the soldiers with them) rushing two guys who were running away.
Not exactly charging an overwhelming force. |

Every man has his price.
For some it is simply the proud and good feeling of serving others.
For other men it is the fame and publicity of being in the lime light.
And for others it is simply a countable sum of money. _________________ Spook Group Stache
