Chriss Matthews couldn't understand how 3 million Vietnamese died. Well for one thing the war lasted over 20 years if you count the French was in there before us.Also the VC and North Vietnamese killed untold numbers of civilens both while the war was going on and after. |

Matthews needs to read about the "Killing Fields". Then he might begin to understand. _________________ -Polaris

Small correction. The 'Killing Fields' was a name given to the cambodian agricultural landscape. Pol Pot with his CPK (Khmer Rouge) created a communal sharing government where currency was outlawed. In these fields the CPK worked/starved to death over a million Cambodians. With 70 percent of their food being exported for money for the government people were fed on a cup of rice or gruel per day. Also, anyone related to the former government, educated, or wealthy were killed off as they were discovered within these communal camps. The Khmer were the Cambodian proletariat class and it was through Pol Pots indoctrination of these people that he was able to gain control and install this radical form of gorvernment. _________________ "An activist is the person who cleans up the water, not the one claiming its dirty."

Good point, GenrXr, but it was closer to three million. _________________ Bye bye, Boston Straggler! |

Even more perspective would be to mention an entire Cambodian population of only about 7 million, meaning 40 percent of the population put to death. A minor point missed by the left. _________________ To model our political system upon speculations of lasting tranquility, is to calculate on the weaker springs of the human character.
