The story is starting to get stale and without new revelations, it will become a another forgotten August revelation ala Gennifer Flowers, "I didn't inhale" and Lloyd Bentsen's "you're no Jack Kennedy."
Is there anything more here? It was just getting interesting.

Losing steam?
I think the new ad has just started a new offense while Kerry is still defending the last one. BRILLIANT!!
I don't know how you think it's becoming stale. |

Stale? Oh, geeze. I completely *missed* that one on the democrat talking points.
I'll tell you what will cause the *pop* heard 'round the world. Kerry finding the integrity to sign the SF 180.
As if.

And you don't think the "Sellout" ad being released doesn't fall into the new revelations category ? Kerry's goons are already falling all over themselves trying to parse their replies to this ad and it hasn't even had saturation yet. They're wetting their pants knowing what has to be coming after this.
Keep reading and go read the other great blogs covering the story like Hugh Hewitt, Power Line or CaptainsQuarters. You won't be bored. _________________ "What our enemies have begun, we will finish,"

Hilarious!
The book is a runaway best-seller. SwiftVets are on TV all the time. Almost everyone now acknowledges that the Christmas in Cambodia story is made up, and the media is completely bogged down in trying to figure out whether there was enemy fire during only one incident...the Rassmann rescue. That's fog of war stuff....small potatoes compared to the bigger revelations of the book. There is still PLENTY of material left to talk about.
Soros couldn't buy this kind of publicity for a 527, and Lord knows...he tried. It's high time the veterans who protected free speech, have their turn at it! |

Bored? Are you out of your mind? The swiftvets story will be told for centuries to come, just like the minutemen. This is history in the making, _________________ "And no pair has been more wrong, more loudly, more often, than the two Senators from Massachusetts, Ted Kennedy and John Kerry"

Two things. Your first point is right. SBVT's second commercial is the most devastating of the two, and will run in three battleground states. I wish the money were available also to run in Central Florida and in the Puget Sound areas and other battlegrounds, but that's for people with higher pay grades...which is everyone else. As the commercials eventually run without the attendant publicity, they may in an odd way be even more effective.
I kind of agree with the first post in this thread, but I don't see it as necessarily a bad thing. The story eventually will fizzle quite a bit because of the natural news cycle, and not because of mere media bias, unless new revelations come to light or Kerry stumbles badly--again--in this matter, or when the third commercial runs. We know the latter will happen and can hope for the former. This can only be expected because the convention is coming up and there are other things that will focus attention. But the book will continue to be a bestseller, and at some point this story will come to the fore again. It may be sooner or later depending on events.
For a campaign that has spent less than some alderman elections in small cities, the SBVT has gotten more bang for the buck than any movement I have ever witnessed. Please note the word just used, too: movement. This isn't a short-term venture.
It's about TRUTH. And that is a goal that never ends, and one where the interest never dies or fades away. |
