THIS CONTEST WAS OVER BEFORE IT EVER REALLY GOT STARTED

Breaking Now.. LA times new poll Bush 49, Kerry 46. Blame us...

The Swiftvets for Truth have damaged John Kerry so badly that it would take a major blunder by George W. Bush to lose this election.

Coming out of his convention, Kerry gained about a three point edge over Bush. He then had about 25 days to solidify his position to the voters. He could have easily gained 5 to 10 points over President Bush during this period. All he would have had do was weather the upswing for President Bush and would still be close or ahead after the Republican Convention bounce.

Because of the measly $150,000 ad buy by the Swiftvets for Truth, which became the largest circulated add in many years, Kerry was held silent for two weeks. No press conference, no interviews from media, no more playing hands and face with John Edwards (Who also dissappeared from the public during this time). But worst of all, no bounce before the Republican Convention. He will be behind after the Republican Convention by probably 5 points, which he will never make up without a similar meltdown from the President (Who is very good at not melting down). Within the next thirty he will be labeled as "damaged goods" and his political life will be at an end. The Swiftvets have hardly started and are not going away, as much as the liberal media and democrats would like them to.

After spending 62 million dollars by democratic 527 groups and another 65 million out of his own donations, he will probably lose because of a "measly" $150,000 buy from the Swiftboat Veterans for Truth. O', the humanity of it all. Goodbye Johnie, we hardly new ye, but we knew you long enough to dislike you.

I second that....OH THE HUMANITY Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing

Actually the Hindenburg crash is a good analogy, it had just arrived from its long, almost successful voyage, and went up in flames because it was loaded with flammable gas, just like Kerry.

No disrespect here for those that died on the Hindy, may you rest in peace.

More than anything I want to believe this. How come I keep hearing polling data that says ole George is behind? Please tell me something I can sink my teeth into. Come on RV, I'm counting on ya!

Thanks,

Jody ( sitting a little low in my chair )

forgivenjojo,

Actually he has gone from about 4 points behind just after the DNC to a dead heat (tie...or close enough) right now (source: RealClear Politics).

We are making a very definate impact. I will post more poll results as they become available, but Bush is looking much better than he did 10 days ago.

You know, I think it was a state by state poll I saw and in Florida. That is why I was alarmed. Seems like they said something like Kerry closed the gap a little. They added that the Hurricane could have caused a dip.

I am still baffled as to why that would be so, but hey, its Florida right?

Where is the most reputable and trustworthy state by state poll (Electoral College)?

I'm a junkie. During the last election I kept numerous notes and scenarios concerning states and their electoral college value.

Thanks Jody

A better analogy for Senator Gigolo would be the Titanic. Elitist, thinking he's invulnerable, impervious to the real world around him. He's hit his iceberg and the water's really cold.

I don't believe any polls. But figure most are so slanted that if they have it dead even than Bush is up 5-10. The only one that counts is the electoral college poll on Nov 2. But it's important that Kerry take all hands down with him. We need Senate seats badly to get the left out of legislating through the judicial system.

The original analysis is brilliant however. And consider this. If, and of course it's not true, but if the Bush campaign had really been behind the Swift Vets, and they accomplished what they have on 150,000 as compared to the insignificant damage done by 62 million in negative 527 ads by moron-org. et al ---- on the basis of bang for the buck and money handling which one would you vote for ?

Rasmussen Reports has a good electoral college "tally", but you need to subscribe ($49 that could go to better causes Wink to see the individual state polls.

forgivenjojo,

Actually for a bit there, Florida was leaning Kerry. Now it is back to Bush (barely).

Good news must not become an excuse to relax or quit. Too often people subconsciously look for reasons to do nothing - and those reasons can be because of bad news (depression) or good news (euphoria). We have a culture of non-citizenship today, that looks to politicians as the solution. That's the reason that (fundamentally flawed) John Kerry has gotten as far as he has.

If it looks like Kerry is going down in a blow-out, great! Then let's keep going and make a bigger goal. How about -- The total destruction of the MSM's chokehold on information. We have partial destruction now. Let's totally discredit, humiliate and destroy them and their influence. For the media is a bigger and more fundamental problem than John Kerry.

A true testament to Kerry's implosion would be the electoral "theft" of a Pennsylvania, New Jersey or Michigan. That would surely send shockwaves throughout the DNC.

THIS CONTEST WAS OVER BEFORE IT EVER REALLY GOT STARTED
The Swiftvets for Truth have damaged John Kerry so badly that it would take a major blunder by George W. Bush to lose this election.

Or Osama and his murdering thugs decide to carry out another terror attack in the U.S.

Afterwards, the liberal media goes nuts, blames the President for "failing to stop the attack" and brainwashes the American public into believing it, who in turn vote for Kerry in droves just like the people in Spain who voted for the Socialists after the Madrid Train bombings.

The unforunate reality here is the possiblity that Osama could come out of nowhere and undermine all the great work the Swift Boat Vets are doing to uncover Kerry's lies and reduce his chances of getting in the Oval Office.

A sad truth is that there are some democrats who would welcome an attack. That is how polarized the political system is.

An attack by Osama would only help Bush. People will not want to change horses when there is need for immediate action. Al Queda would be very foolish to attack just before our election. We are not Spain.
