They asked him about the re-issuing of the citations...he said it wasn't unusual. When they asked him what he thought about the Swiftvets...he said it was a "healthy dialogue." |

I wasn't UNUSUAL? If it were routine, there's a whole lot of people would have said, just that, by now. I haven't seen one, single person say that they ever saw that happen.
Lehman needs to explain this. |

The real question isn't why it was reissued, but why was it rewritten (twice.)
<<<Lehman needs to explain this.>>>
Also where the wording for the rewritten citation came from, because you can bet that the SecNav wasn't taking the time to write it himself.

This almost seems a question that FRIGHTENS . . . people.
I don't know why. But questions about these double citations, triple even, were among the very first raised over Kerry's medals, and record. And no one, anywhere, has an answer for it - from top military brass to those who handled such paperwork, to Lehman himself. Nobody.
Maybe behind this is the biggest bombshell of all. So you'd think, at any rate. |

Does anyone know whether or not signing the Form 180 would clarify this issue. It seems to me that much might be learned from full disclosure. _________________ '58 Airedale HMR(L)-261 VMO-2 |

Well, the Chicago Sun-Times is throwing up its hands, too. They note the three citations for Silver, two for Bronze, differing account and conclude with - GOllllyyyeeeee, Gee Whiz. How could this have happened?
This could be the tip of a pyramid buried in an iceberg, or something. It's seem as if 100% of people are desperate for this particular 'swift vet' story to go away. But this is really strange.
I would imagine that a cache of documents might include some hint, here, because there MIGHT, possibly, but not for certain, be a paper trail leading to the revised citations, each one. If not - one could argue they are forgeries by Kerry and his staff, over the years, or by sympathetic mentors or cronies (someone suggested Fulbright himself in that thread). That SS with 'valor device' really kind of stands out. |
