Kerry to Offer an apology to Veterans on Meet The Press and 60 Minutes?
I head on the Rush show that Kerry has asked for time on 60 minutes and Meet the Press the day before the Republican Convention to make an apology to Vietnam Vets?
Is this true and how will it be taken?
(I say he's got to include an apology for falsely accusing you of the crime of coordination with the Bush campaign on your ads)

I will personally take it for what it is, yet another callous political move to use the blood of the men and women who served at their countries command to pave the way for his own ambition. There is nothing he can say, except "I withdraw from this race" that will hold water with me. He should never have been elected to any federal office. |

Have the Swift Vets asked for time on 60 minutes?
Have they been reviewed by the NY Times?
The blatant bias is just so transparent!!!!!!!!!!! _________________ Vote early. Vote often. The Democrate way... |

As far as I'm concerned there is nothing that John F'n Kerry could say that would not be too little, too late. It would also be such an obvious, political calculation, I don't believe anyone but the Kool Aid drinkers would believe it. Although you have to wonder about those included in that 46% of the population that keeps showing up in the polls as supporting Kerry. I always wonder what could possibly be going on in these people's minds.
If it goes down, it will probably be along the lines of Fonda's "I'm sorry if my words offended anyone" apology. It will also steal a line from Rodney King, "Why can't we all just get along."
I would only believe Kery was sincere is he made a plea bargain with a US Attorney not to be prosecuted, and said he was sorry and that yes, he was guilty of Treason and he was dropping out of the race. Then I would think he was sincere.
Without that, screw his apology. _________________ Ed Liptak

33 years late, I think he knows where he can put it
If it comes, it will be for show to non-veterans. He has shown what he thinks of veterans. He's all show and will do it in hopes that civilians and undecideds see him as a great guy.
If he was really apologizing, he wouldn't have P.I.s digging dirt on the Swift vets. _________________ Clark County Conservative |
