Talk about a David And Goliath story. A small band of swiftees and their supporters, armed with the truth, and just a little bit of money, took on the powerful liberal juggernaut and their allies and have got them on the run. Would someone explain to this dumb old veteran how you did it?

It is called the truth waging war against a fragile web of lies.

I would say that in this battle, the SBVT can and will win handily, based on numbers and veracity. Kerry, despite being naturally equipped with the jawbone of an ass (all puns intended), will find that his foundation of self serving lies are going to wash away, one by one, until he has nothing left but smears and innuendo.

I think we are pretty close to that now!

Don't count your chickens yet. Those guys have a lot of dirty tricks up their sleeve still, and no way out. They've never had to replace a candidate in mid-election before and don't know how, so they'll try every slimey thing they can against us. It's about to get very ugly. I hope we can win.

#1 The truth is a powerful thing and is easy to remember,lies only lead to more lies to cover up the original lie

#2 The MSM no longer has a monopoly on the news to their complete dismay, They are slowly getting replaced by the Internet and talk radio

#3 Kerry is an idiot and one of his own worst enemies

#4 The average citizen is sick and tired of the MSM and there obvious liberal/socialist bias

My take on the shift , if real.

Most of the "Anybody but Bush " crowd had no idea who John Kerry is
or was. Their commitment to him was weak at best. Many say the
Clintonites want him to lose so Hillery can step up in '08.

Now the those people have seen how he behaves "under fire" and that
the Swift Boat Vets are credible. Kerry's own behavour confirms
many allegations.

O'Neil himself quotes Kerry's statements and passages from "Tour of Duty"
to show the real Kerry.

NortonPete, exactly right. I think that's the big thing right there. The radical left anti-military / anti-war radical hate Bush crowd wanted anyone. I really think now that kerry is even worse than if they had picked dean. There's so much about kerry and his past that I know now that I didn't know a month ago, and I already knew his anti-war lies and how liberal he was, but he's even worse than I thought. They just didn't give any though to the consideration of "gee, is kerry someone who SHOULD be President?" Like someone here said, they'd vote for satan if they had to just so they could vote against Bush. That's how totally mind numbed these people are.
