If you have a list of Media contact e-mails and phone numbers, please go to the Resources and Research forums and post it in the Media Contacts thread that's there on top as a Sticky. If we ALL start mailing a massive number of media contacts with the important kerry news, hammering them with the truth, and they get the same things from thousands of people daily, it will have a huge impact, so please post your media contacts so we can all use them together. I just posted an updated list of 228 e-mails, formatted and ready to insert into BCC field, and all of them work. I want to add more!

I have one caution about this - some sysadmins have their mail servers set up to dev/null any incoming email that has more than X number of recipients.

I'd say 10 at a time is probably safe. Maybe even 20, but I wouldn't go that far.

The scattershot approach can result not only in your email being discarded but in getting your email address blocked from their servers in the future.

Just a thought. The idea to is to reach people - can't do that if you can't make it past the mail server.

Does that apply if they're all sent as Blind Carbon Copies, with the sending e-mail address in the "to" field? SOmeone else here suggested that. I would think that a BCC e-mail would look to the receiving server and e-mailer that it is the only account receiving that e-mail. No? If that's the case, it makes it harder e-mailing people, but since BCC makes it appear as though you're the only one getting it, hopefully BCC is a way around that so you can mass mail dozens of media at one time, and not have to spend many minutes doing it. The Media COntacts list has been updated in that thread in the Resources and Research forum if anyone wants to update their mailing list or add some they have. Please do post any new ones there or e-mail them to me and I'll add them. The more media contacts we all have the better. Thanks.
