Here's a modest proposal that maybe interested local groups could do to get into the action (and the local media) about Kerry's Bronze Star:

1) Rent out the local paintball course.

2) Erect a 50 foot sign saying "Kerry Sign Form 180". (50 feet representing the length of a swift boat)

3) Set up a firing line 35 or so yards away (representing the shore line since the river in dispute is 75 yards across).

4) Get the local bridge club of a half-dozen little old ladies (or make it a fund-raiser) to open fire on the sign with paintball guns for 60 seconds. Document the result with video tape if the local media won't cooperate. Ask the media if the sign were a swift boat under heavy s/a and h/w fire for 90 minutes like Kerry claims, then where's the battle damage?

Admittedly, I'm a little leary if this comes across as shooting at a representation of an American boat, but I think if handled with the right sense of humor, this could be very funny and get some attention.
