If you have a question for me, please feel to let me know directly, especially if it is in a thread I'm not participating in -- which is where I think this particular question was asked (at least I can't find it).
Also, if I haven't answered something within a day or so, feel free to do the same, as I probably just missed it. Now on to your question as it is stated above.
I am not employed by the government of Vietnam. I make travel arrangements for people going to Vietnam. The company I use to carry out these arrangements in Vietnam is a Vietnamese government travel company. This procedure is similiar/the same as to what most tour operators over here follow who arrange travel to Vietnam. It's nothing unusual or unique.
As for your comment "and it would seem the Kerry famillies management company with a monopoly on all buisness involving anything vietnamn", well, you leave me speechless.
You have taken the art of spin to a whole new level.
I actually know, or think I know, where this comes from. It's the story about how Kerry swept the POW issue under the rug in the early 90's, then his cousin, a guy names Stuart Forbes(?), got a contract worth billions (it started out at 894 million, but has worked it's way up thru the years) for all real estate deals in Vietnam.
Now you have it being the Kerry family with a monopoly on all business in Vietnam. Remarkable, simply remarkable!
I am not employed by the government of Vietnam. To say I am somehow employed by the Kerry family is beyond ridiculous.

Speedy, Bush didn't start the whisper campaign that McCain had a black love child, it was Bush's top lackeys. Same with the idea that McCain was insane after having been a POW. So you were wrong. |

World War I:
World War II:
Vietnam
From The National Review:
During the long and widely protested Vietnam War, many Americans did not distinguish between the troops and the cause. For the soldiers returning home, there were no ticker tape parades, no heroes’ welcome. With the memories of My Lai and Kent State barely fading came the scandals reported in the media throughout the 1990s: cheating at Annapolis, sexism at the Citadel, Tailhook, brutal initiation rites at Parris Island. It would take nearly 30 years after Vietnam and this new war in Iraq for the image of the American soldier to recover.

No Craig. People don't have to agree with me. It would be an awful boring world if everybody always agreed. It's your abusive style and blind support for someone like Kerry and poo pooing his every maneuver to support Communism that makes me see you as I do.
Become a civil person and maybe you'll be replied to civily. Until then, just suck on your binky, if it makes you feel better. |
Good reading comprehension there. I didn't say a thing about people having to agree with you. I spoke about what you probably have me marked as. In my view the two parties just have their own favorite parts of The Constitution to trash. - Some overlap. |

Mr. Boyle, I credit your disgust with Kerry as being "genuine" and "heartfelt," but suggest that you are expressing yourself at a website set up by people with a political agenda in the middle of an election year, and for this the veins at your temples are pounding?
The funny thing is that you have no problem besmirching all whom with you disagree---Kerry and the membership of the VVAW---as traitors, frauds, paid liars, and dupes.
What's even funnier is that you yourself could have joined the VVAW and testified in Detroit, had you been so inclined. You have stated that while your engineer unit never abused civilians, an adjacent infantry company (C/1-20th) did, in fact, murder civilians at the behest of its body-count-hungry CO; furthermore, you have stated that when officers in your unit tried to report these killings up the chain of command, their reports were brushed off. You have further noted that this same infantry company then went on to participate in the massacre at My Lai, another act of brutality which the chain of command attempted to cover up.
This all sounds like VVAW testimony to me.
Anyway, the level of incivility, name-calling, hair-splitting, and self-righteous rage around here is utterly depressing. There is little attempt to fight fair, remain cool, and use logical arguments when trying to decide if the glass was half full or half empty in Vietnam. This website produces much heat, but little light. Too bad
Will any of you idealogues finally answer the simple questions I raised at the beginning of this post?

I've got a poster made from a photograph of Joseph Kennedy with Adolf Hitler. That old bootlegger Ambassador Joe Kennedy was wearing a big ship-eating grin in the company of a man he obviously admired. I wonder if it was the goofy moustache? |
Crap!
Does this mean I am supposed to bother to look up some of the history of Prescott - or whatever Bush selling steel to the Nazi? - I don't think I will bother. It has been posted and ignored plenty already. |

You can look up whatever you want. You can even look up Standard Oil and fuel for Nazi subs, or you can look up and compare the statements by Osama bin Laden and John Kerry complaining about Halliburton. That's good news by the way, Osama bin Laden and John Kerry agreeing on something.
I can arrange for you to have a copy of that poster to mount next to your photos of John Kerry. I think a nice display would be Jane Fonda at the gun in the center, flanked by the photo of Joe Kennedy with Hitler and any Kerry photo. You do have photos of John Kerry don't you? The botox parody shot would be nice. Maybe expand the display with a fourth photo of Kerry's daughter showing her Cannes. |

Did you 'serve' w/ Bush? Did you go AWOL w/ him too?

And what do you think you are doing? At least my ideas are freely arrived at from my own experience and freely offered, not bought and paid for second-hand propaganda.
Quote: | The funny thing is that you have no problem besmirching all whom with you disagree---Kerry and the membership of the VVAW---as traitors, frauds, paid liars, and dupes. |
They besmirched themselves. All I am doing is reporting it, and I stand by it. I am not even sorry you do not like it.

As you so conveniently fail to repeat, I could have done no such thing because I only heard about the event you refer to for the first time in the late 1990's. And to open such a train of thought with the notion that there is something "funny" about it is beneath contempt.

I suspect this is exactly what you are here to foment, like any good agitprop practioner.

If you would bother to answer any of mine, I might accommodate you. How about something more substantive on Kerry and Madame Binh than the personal opinion you offered? _________________ For The Honor of the Fifty-Eight Thousand.

Don't need it. Don't have an pics of Kerry other than maybe artifacts on computer. Don't even like the guy.
Were it to me when Fonda went to Vietnam I'd have required her to stay there - or at least not step foot again on US or US controlled soil.
What you think would be nice impresses me as some childish fantasy - but indulge yourself.
I don't know that I would recognize Kerry's ddaughther if I saw her.
Do you have photo of Rummy shaking Saddams hand? Maybe that would make you a nice poster. |
