|
|
John Kerry will gain a big advantage if the Bush people agree to the proposed format and moderators being mentioned for the 3 debates. Charlie Gibson is a moderate liberal, Jim Lehrer is of the stealth variety, ( the most dangerous ) and Bob Schieffer is of the far left vintage. In July, on The Don Imus Show, Schieffer branded the swiftees as a" despicable lot." Bush should agree to just two debates, reject Lehrer and Schieffer, accept Gibson and insist that Brit Hume be the other moderator. |

That idea has much righteousness... Hope the POTUS' folks will relay your idea.
(My own idea for moderators: Brit Hume, Sean Hannity, Ollie North)

Brit Hume is the only recommendation --- and given that more people watch FoxNews than any other channel --- the debate committee should do this ---
will they --- well when you are listing so much to the port that your stern is starboard --- |

I'd counter with Sean Hannity, Rush Limbaugh and John O'Neill as the moderators. |

The only chance is for Brit Hume -- he is a journalist/newsman -- not a commentator --
Rush, Hannity, Franken, etc. --- they are commentators not journalists.
It is true that most of the talking heads that pretend to be journalists/newsmen sold out their integrity for the leftist leanings so they should also be bunched with the commentators.

It's a double edged dagger for the left. First, President Bush is an excellent debater and he's had to deal with a White House press corp that one could only describe as openly hostile. Second, if the moderators show undue bias to Kerry or make any demeaning comments it will hurt Kerry more than the President, who will no doubt smile and throw out one of his patented one-liners. Better the conservatives are not represented as moderators that the left has no straw dog to shoot at. _________________ "What our enemies have begun, we will finish,"

What we must all understand is that the liberals are in a panic mode right now. Their power is eroding and they will resort to desperate tactics to help Kerry. I know some of these people well and frankly I don`t trust them. They play tennis together on the courts at the corner of 34th St. and Garfield. On many occasions I have observed them jogging together from MaComb to Porter St. and all the streets in between. And boy does Bush take a beating at their cocktail parties. They will use subtle and sophisticated technics to trip Bush up which the average American can`t comprehend. I firmly believe that collusion is taking place right now. I hope Bush`s political advisors don`t take the bait. |

I think they know what kind of game is being played, and I'm confident that they have a few cards to play themself. |

I have a suggestion. You'll all think I'm kidding, but I'm not.
John Stewart, Colin Quinn and Jay Leno.
That's a liberal, a conservative and a moderate.
Not only would those guys really try to be fair, they would actually pull a bigger audience. _________________ 13F20P |
