WHAT SWIFT VETS SHOULD SAY TO KERRY (via press releases)

In the last few days Kerry has been running away from the Swift Vets and effectively attacking Bush at the same time.

Kerry has been attacking Bush, blaming Bush for what the Swift Vets are saying about him. Kerry has been effectively leveraging the President to criticize what the Swifts are doing. [edited by moderator: Please refrain from blanket condemnations of any group] The Swift Vets need to more actively get into the debate and deal effectively with Kerry:

So here are a few things the Swiftees should say to Kerry:

“Over here Kerry, we’re over here. George Bush isn’t after you, we are. This has nothing to do with George Bush. This is between you and all of us. Come and face us; come and debate us, you coward”

“Kerry, stop hiding behind George Bush, stop hiding behind the (self-inflicted) cripple Max Cleland. Stop hiding behind anyone or anything you can find. Be a man if you can. Come out yourself and face us in a fair and public debate – coward.”

“Stop sending out your know-nothing, motor-mouth lawyers who haven’t a clue what the truth is, but who do your fighting for you, because you won’t do your own dirty work. Fight your own battles, for once in your life.”

“You want to debate Bush every week? We are ready to debate you every day. Come out and debate us, if you dare.”

“You say you want to forget Vietnam and talk about the “important issues”? Kerry, there is no issue more important than your lack of honesty and character. Debate us now, so the American people will better see the truth about you.”

The major media is trying to marginalize and smear the Swift Vets and then give them a final burial. In order to counter this the Swift Vets should be releasing formal press releases daily issueing challenges to Kerry to debate, to tell the truth, to stop hiding behind Bush, Cleland, etc. Similar challenges could be issued to the major media when their tactics and attacks on Swift Vets become especially dishonest.

The friendly talk radio guys – Rush, Hannity, Savage, Reagan, and all the local guys on TR, plus Drudge and the bloggers will put out any formal Swift Vet challenges to Kerry. Any time any Swiftie is on talk radio as a guest he can lay down the latest challenges (press releases) directed at John Kerry.

The ads are great but they cost a lot of money; they take time to produce therefore they may be a little “behind the curve” compared to what is happening at the moment.

Press releases are free and they are immediate. They keep Swift Vets on the front burner and in an offensive stance. They keep Swift Vets doing their own fighting, not passively waiting for George Bush to figure out what to say.

Swift Vets must stay on the offensive, on the attack. Turn every Kerry scam, stunt or trick that involves the Swift Vet information into another opportunity to attack and expose Kerry for his dishonesty, evading the issue, hiding behind others, etc. Swifties must keep putting themselves in the middle of the discussion, no matter how Kerry tries to run away and hide.

What good ideas do others have along these lines?

While all that you have said is true imho Kerry doesn't want the swbvt issue to go away. He is using this as a smoke screen to divert the issues from his voting record. I still do believe however that the swbvts will bring him down regardless. This "man" is getting his payback for what he did to us

Perhaps this site should provide a topic for his 20 years in the Senate. It might provide some interesting connections to his voting record and what he did from '68-'72.

Just heard a talking head opine that Kerry's camp does want to
keep the controversy out front to take attention from Republican
Convention. Cited that ex-Sen Glenn was speaking in Ohio this
morning and showed a clip of this. Glenn was talking about proof
of Bush/SBVT connection by recent resignation of two Bush camp
members from the campaign. What a crock.
If that is the Kerry camp's strategy, I say "Bring It On".

The "connections" they allude to are nothing! They keep bringing it up and it gets thrown right back at them regarding connections between Kerry, the DNC and numerous 527s that are much more common.
They hate the fact they recieve 87% of all 527 Support,and the SBVFT have hit them hard and with something they fear very much, the truth! They have no way of countering it except with misleading comments and lies.

This is exactly the kind of ridiculous Kerry camp statements that provide a golden opportunity for the Swift Vets to make Kerry look like a fool.

What if Swift Vets would Issue a press release asking Senator Kerry if he agrees with his wife on this assertion? Challenge Kerry to debate on the question of exactly how the Swift Vets are hurting US military morale. See if we could get some female to challenge Theresa to debate. Remind everybody that it is Kerry 35 years ago and today who damages military morale and challenge him to debate that point also.

Talk radio will eat this up. Eventually the major media has to report it also.

Opportunities like this are occuring every day lately.
