Can some one help me understand the time line of the engagement that resulted in Rathman being blown of the 3 boat, when he was picked up, how many others were pick up and by whom etc. I want to be sure of the facts so I can do battle with some disbelievers.

Please see the Consolidation of Links thread, the FAQ thread and use the search function at the top of the page to find the links here in this forum about the Rassman story.
There are probably 12 - 15 threads with Rassman or Bronze Star in the title just in this forum, (though some are on pages 2, 3, 4, etc.) so you may be able to find what you want just by skimming the titles.
