This goes with the "I was in Cambodia before I wasn't in Cambodia" Kerry-ism

From the AP wire, 25 August 2004

Kerry renews call for Rumsfeld to resign over Iraqi prison abuses, urges independent probe

By: MARY DALRYMPLE - Associated Press Writer

<snip>

Quote:
The candidates' fitness to be commander in chief erupted again even as Kerry headed to Pennsylvania and Wisconsin to tell voters he could produce better, higher-paying jobs from the White House than President Bush has and improve the lives of the middle class.

"The truth, which is what elections are all about, is that the tax burden of the middle class has gone up while the tax burden of the middle class has gone down," he said.(emphasis added)

</snip>

The rest of the story: http://www.nctimes.com/articles/2004/08/25/election2004/11_31_298_25_04.txt

(it's wire copy, many other papers picked it up. No one seems to have caught the error....)

What is important about this quote is NOT that it is logically impossible (reductio ad absurdum, the proof is left as an exercise for the student), but that Kerry MUST have been rattled or distracted to make such a gaff AND that his willing accomplices in the liberal wing of the MSM didn't catch it either. It's not been corrected or clarified to the best of my knowledge.

He's shook up, keep up the fire!

Wonderful catch! I'd like to see an appendix of "gotchas" by Flipper John. I've read many on this site but cannot recall them when needed. A compilation might prove very helpful to those facing the MSM without time for a comprehensive answer.

Kind of trivial, but on the same day he said that quote he also called "Lambeau Field" the "Lambert Field".

Strangely this was just after he played football with the high school students in the area. While doing that he hit his head trying to recover a fumble. So either he was rattled, crushed by a high schooler trying to recover a fumble, forgot his speech or he has never watched(or played) football in his life.

Like I said, kind of trivial but as everyone knows the football stadium in Green Bay has been called "Lambeau Field" for 39 years.

Because the Governer is a Republican and he wants to make sure that the Democrat seat is protected

if he thought he could win, he would resign,

Green Bay was St Louis, before it was Green Bay...
