I hope not. It would just fan the Dem flame that the swiftvets are RNC Bush hacks _________________ "And no pair has been more wrong, more loudly, more often, than the two Senators from Massachusetts, Ted Kennedy and John Kerry"

drjohn,
Even i would love to hear Mr. Paul Galanti speak, I think that the republicans will try to distance themselves from the swiftvets. Another awesome surprise would be to show footage of Bin Laden's capture - that would truly have the democrats spoiling their pants. Bush coming out with a blowhorn and yelling "nobody messes around with the usa" |

What do you think about a piece on John Kerry's portrait hanging in the hall of Communist heroes in the Remnants Museum in Ho Chi Minh City? |

I think they will stay as far away from SBVFT as possible. |

The rumor is that he might propose doing away with the IRS and going to a consumption tax.
It's not a good idea for any Swiftie or POW from the TV ads to appear at the Republican convention. It would help extend the false claim that the SBVfT is coordinating with the Bush campaign.
Besides, polls show that 80% of Americans have heard about the Swift Boat Vets for Truth. Not nearly that many will watch any of the convention. It might be a waste of time for the Swifties. |

Yes, they have to. But I'm hoping there will be something said about respecting free speech, in general -- I heard Gillespie on C-Span talking to his committee and he made a statement about the veterans supporting Kerry having the right to speak their minds, AND the Swiftboat Veterans also having a right to speak their minds. I thought that was just about the right thing to say. |
