I?ve never liked Kerry because of what he did when he returned from Viet Nam. I remember the period quite clearly. When the Swiftvets came forward with their allegations of Kerry?s (medal) lies, I was willing to chalk some of them up to exaggerations on Kerry?s part. Exaggeration to advance one?s career and political viewpoint is bad enough. X-mas in Cambodia is a proven lie used to advance himself. I believe any jury of reasonable people would find him guilty of lying about his first PH.
This whole issue surrounding his Silver Star with ?v? is ??. The self damning things he said about Adm. Boorda sent me into shock yesterday. After reading the Lehman article today, the only words that come to mind are sordid and despicable. I hope the author keeps digging and expands his investigation into other allegations.

I saw Lehman give an interview when this issue was first raised. He denied any knowledge of it, but did say that it was not that unusual. That he could have "lost" his citation and needed a replacement and some clerk would have signed off on it. It seems his story is getting more detailed and pulling further and further from that of Kerry's. |

worse than that...this lie was used by Kerry to successfully and wrongly influence US policy in the battle against communism in our own hemisphere! |

Could Kerry have been trying to replace the medals he threw away and the Navy willing to help out a Senator? Have I not seen where these medals are now counted in addition to the ones he had? His medal count is now four for the same incident.
I think I saw, on Fox, John Hurley complain that John O'Neil was not there when Kerry got the bronze star. And, then site Secretary of Navy Lehman and Admiral Zumwalt on the citation as if they were eye witness. _________________ VietNam 1970-1971 |

You don't need the Citation in order to get replacement medals.
Even if he had lost his copies of the Citations, he could have asked for duplicates and duplicates would have been made for him.
The Citations were not duplicated, they were re-written. The changes from the SS2 to the SS3 and the Bronze 1 to the Bronze 2 are subtle, just adding a little "Superman" verbiage.
The changes from SS1 to SS2, though, were substantial. _________________ ~ Echo Juliet ~

Yes -- and he didn't seem to be very comfortable at all on the subject. I sensed a lot of unspoken stuff there but not sure if he's worried about kerry or about himself OR if he was angry. Hope this issue gets pressed so he will say what he did not want to say in that appearance.... and just get it all out in the open once and for all. |

As someone has written in an article on this subject recently, Kerry is going to find that 3 citatations over 15 years apart are going to be found to be two citations too many.
And now the last one signed by John Lehman turns out to not have been signed by Lehman at all.
If a sitting US senator asked you to sign his 'new' Silver Star Citation from 1969, would you remember doing that?
I would.
Yet Leman says he has no recollection of ever being approached by Kerry or on Kerry's behalf to sign this citation.
Sounds like Kerry got a 'favor' done by somebody in the Navy system who used an 'autopen' to fraudently sign a Silver Star citation for Kerry without Lehman ever being told about it.
This, and the 'Silver Star with V' thing is going to turn the Kerry camp into a stuttering group of morons when the MSM begins reporting it.
The Chicago Tribune already has a reporter filing stories on the fake 'Silver Star with V'. Won't be long until they get Lehman's story out there too, I bet.
Kerry keeps saying 'Look at the official navy documents! Listen to my 14 brothers! Don't pay attention to 254 SwitfVets plus all my commanding officers!'
How ironic that the records are now exposing him even further!

Ok it seems that true to his "modus operandi" when he asked for replacements
he decided it was also time to have them embellished a bit.
Add a few lines to polish them up some more.
What the heck why not a combat V? I'm a great war hero. |
