A follow-up to the Tony Snow and Michael Meehan segment was a back and forth with Susan Estridge (Kerry apologist) and Rich Galin.
When asked about Kerry's fable of Cambodian Christmas, her reply was "who cares where he was."
Here is, what I believe to be the strongest case against Kerry's deciet and continued use of his fabrication regarding Cambodia. John Kerry as a United States Senator used his "version" of Cambodia to debate and influence U.S. national foriegn policy in opposition to President Reagan's position in South America. His deeply flawed and deceitful recounting of his "experience" in Cambodia - i.e., that the government lied then, so they must be lying now, because I was Cambodia, because that event is 'seared, seared' in my memory, and because I, John Fable Kerry say so!
This is not only an issue that destroys Kerry's charater and credibility, it is also one of the most stunning examples of how a self-promoting and serial liar cannot be trusted with this country's continued fight on terror and national defense. It is obvious that he will use his twisted version of events to override any contrary body of evidence, no matter how credible and documented.
Last week, Chris Matthews said that Kerry's account on Cambodia was "poetic license" and Juan Williams on Fox said that it was 'inconsequential.'
Kerry's people (Meehan, Hurley, Brinkley) have repeatedly switched positions, posted retreactions, called it a "watery border" and have admitted that we have only John Kerry's word (and his alleged 'lucky hat') to substantiate his claims against the word of Mr. Gardner, as well as his own crews denials that they were never there!
This SBVFT have proven, through forcing Kerry and his stooges to backpedal, and excerpts from his own vain and fictional biography, that
this was a fantasy of Kerry's own making. Unfortunately, Kerry chose to use that fantasy and self-agrandizing lie to influence this country's position on matters of national security.
I have not heard any of the talking heads even remotely take the time or intellectual honesty to make the connection between these two points.
Cheers,

You hit the nail on the head Dragon. You can bet if the situation was reversed and it was Bush on the hot seat, Chrissie would not call it "poetic license", and Juan Williams would not call it inconsequential.

Their tactic now seems to be "let's move on and get to issues that matter." They can't fight the truth, so they must ignore it, while trying to destroy those who exposed Kerry.
I think it was Winston Churchill who once said words to the effect,"Some men stumble over the truth, but they just get back up, dust themselves off and go on." _________________ Clark County Conservative |

One correction. it was Nixon's policy, not Reagan's. Kerry has everyone confused as to who was President Christmas 68' and 71'. |

What bothers me most about the dem mouthpieces contiually saying "let's get to the issues" is that their idea of getting to the issues is bashing Bush. Has anyone here heard a solid proposal for anything, and how it is going to be effected, from any of the dems? Maybe I'm just deaf and am not hearing their go forward proposals |

Kerry should have gotten to the issues at the DNC. Instead he concentrated on his heroic service. Know We won't let him lie about the issues until he settles the war lies |

What the "it doesn't matter" or "it was an honest mistake" or "it was a wattery border" people don't get is that his first recollection was fairly deep into Cambodia:
Quote: | "I remember spending Christmas Eve of 1968 5 miles across the Cambodian border being shot at by our Vietnamese allies." |
This was no "the creek runs along the border" mistake. John F. Kurtz was deep in Cambodia.
One thing that struck me this time is to wonder what ordinance the ARVN were shooting to celebrate Christmas that would endanger him five miles from the border. Or were the SOuth Vietnamese also in Cambodia?
I really like Dragon's explanation of why it matters. Consider the attention Bush's motivations for toppling Saddam have received - why not put the same level of attention to Kerry's motivation for opposing Reagan? |

There's a time and place for everything...I think the Bush campaign will spill some of the issues, during the convention..Their strategy is getting cooler :lol:by the day's end...all coming together...
