One might ask Rassmann had he ever

"personally raped, cut off ears, cut off heads, tape wires from portable telephones to human genitals and turned up the power, cut off limbs, blown up bodies, randomly shot at civilians, razed villages in fashion reminiscent of Genghis Khan, shot cattle and dogs for fun, poisoned food stocks, and generally ravaged the country side of South Vietnam in addition to the normal ravage of war. "

That "on a day-to-day basis with the full awareness of officers at all levels of command."

And remind him that is what Sen. Kerry told his family and friends.

I hope this isn't the same Maj. Mark Smith. I'd like to think the letter is authentic, but since it's 2-3 weeks old (and hasn't been passed around) it raises a question or two...Hope it isn't the same guy.

Did swiftboats have a hatch between the pilothouse and
the 'front gunner's well'?
Swiftboats, did the main cabin have a door that led
to the aft 'main deck'?

Question 2 Yes.

It doesn't look like it, but check here:

Why have Kerry and his allies had such a difficult time figuring out which boat Rassmann was on during this incident?

Is it because they need Rassmann simultaneously on two different boats? Douglas Brinkley recently wrote a column placing Rassmann on both PCF-3 and PCF-94 during the same incident.

I get the sense that, as Thurlow has stated, Rassmann was on PCF-94.

But how could the Kerry campaign explain why Rassmann was knocked off board when there was no major damage to PCF-94 and Kerry's boat didn't leave the scene (thus, no need for any "sharp turns" flinging Rassman into the river).

But now we know that Kerry's boat, PCF-94, did leave the scene. So, they attempt to place Rassmann on PCF-3 and have Rassmann thrown into the river due to the mine that hit PCF-3.

The Kerry/Rassmann version of this story has more holes than Swiss Cheese. But because of "official Navy documents" (written by Kerry), the media doens't give us a fair shake.

Gosh...I guess Rassman got catapulted with the dog.

Is it also agreed the up to eight Nung soldiers were actually on the 94, as well? along with Rassman?

Negative. We know they didn't load PCF-3 because the WIA report. Other than that the report only states that after PCF-23 joins them at CAI NUOC, the PCFs with Mobile Strike Force embarked and departed. I suspect several of them were aboard PCF-43. Just a guess though.

Mr. Rassman was apparently with carry for a couple of events that are under scrutiny. There is no doubt in my mind that Rassman is covering for Kerry and Kerry for Rassman.

ASPB,

The link is broken. I'm a little concerned about sending something when the original link doesn't work. Any thoughts?

Somebody may have answered you but here goes anyway...
the first time the article appeared the link didn't work for me
either, this second time the article appeared the link
worked, which tells me probably the first link wasn't
complete. When that happens, I just look for the main
page (because this link is an archive and may have moved)
within the link "http://www.jenmartinez.com/"; however,
the second link was complete and you shouldn't have a problem
with it - it should begin "http:" and end "#more" if the
link doesn't begin and end with those words, it's not the
entire link...
