The Swift Boat (and River Boat) Vietnam vets are finally getting the public recognition they deserve(d) and maybe a movie about them will be made.
Evidently Kerry joined the Swift boats after JFK's example, nothing wrong with that.
Unfortunately he (and others) got mixed up (and literally got mixed up)with war protesting(ers) that sometimes used NVA-VC communist (enemy flags).
Kerry saved an unwounded special forces soldier and got a silver star, maybe if it was a regualr serviceman he would have got a commendation medal or bronze star.
Marine rifle company medics (navy corpsmen) and rifle platoon marines generally got no personal awards or USMC award certificates for their tours and the corpsmen saved many "wounded" marines.
All Marine lawyers and judges in Vietnam got personal awards ( achievement+commendation medals/v's) for their tours.
And, movie-tv actors (playing marines) get USMC award certificates.

If not anything else, Kerry was probly a good "altar boy".
You do better to keep God and that in mind and something about casting the first stones.. |
