Giuliani gave the speech of his life and was a go for broke speech. He basically gave everything he had to Bush and in my opinion was honest and to the country. McCain came off ok as a first act and did his duty but his days as a political possibility are over and I could hear it in his play. The 3 - 9/11 family survivors brought tears to my eyes. Unreal first night. Bush by 10 points after thursday night.

Isn't this the night the networks "chose" to blackout? For reruns, no less.

Make no mistake that comes from them watching the Switfties Boards. Smile We have crucified the Kerry campaign for bringing up that communist talking point!

The pro-vets can take credit for that one. I am loving it.

Right on...
Guliani was powerful, funny, inspiring, and right on point about Iraq, and Kerry! Leadership does not FLIPFLOP!

Sad that the major networks won't show it.

I was, for the first time, actually standing and clapping!

Wow...If speeches could actually convince people...Kerry is TOAST.

The pigs like Moore are still out there, but I think people are seeing them
as they are, useful fools for the Kerry campaign.
It felt like a wonderful wind of truth when Rudy spoke, (and I loved the
remark about moore) he really said all the right words and in the
right way.
Appreciated. Wink

You can now watch both McCain and Giuliani's speeches on c-span, starting in a few minutes.

And they will probably be available by tomorrow morning on www.c-span.org

Missed McCain's but the part of Giuliani's that I caught was WONDERFUL!!!

Did you see the crawl on Fox that Terry McAuliffe is all upset because some people at the republ convention were wearing purple hearts with band-aids on them, and he says that is making fun of Kerry's military record and that's not fair, or something to that effect.

Powerful first night. I thought McCain was excellent but Rudy is in a class all his self. The choir singing each of the military services anthems was inspiring. Who ever put this convention together should get a Bonus if the rest is as great.
