Porsche, definately not selling them all short at all, and I will challenge anyone who does so. I served in the Guard for 6 years betweed stints on Active Duty. I was in a decent Unit and one where training became serious and not an excuse to get away from the Wife and Kids for the weekend. I would also note I have a number of friends who have been to Afghanistan and Iraq with the Guard and their Units have performed with distinction and honor.

I definately concurr. As my sister told me, most of the whining she heard was from the younger members of her unit.
In contrast, the "old salts" have a much better understanding of the situation and willingly accepted the demands that were placed on them.
To the former group all I can say is "Grow up," while the latter group gets a well deserved Bravo Zulu. _________________ Cliff Hipsher

To all of the above Posters.
You guys are all great and have hit on the real truths about the IVAW Jokers. I am sure that none of us are really surprised, look back throughout the years, especially the 60's. We all had our whiners, but I must admit, in our small group, they were some of the greatest guys you would want to serve and work with. There are a few points I would like to bring up and will try to only list them with enough to explain. Would appreciate any thoughts you may have.
1. Protesters in NYC today: The actions and events are pre-programmed and scripted, look familiar?
2. Look carefully at the individuals involved. What does that tell you?
3. People have already forgotten 9/11/01.
4. Factual History has been distorted and elminated from our High Schools.
5. We were spit on, shunned and disrespected in the 60's and 70's.
6. Our Soldiers are being disrespected TODAY, 35 yrs. later.
7. A Commie sympathizer is a Pres. Candidate! 35 yrs. later
8. The Berlin Wall came down but they did not go away, now they are LIBERALS!!! Just a nice way to say Facist, Socialist, Marxist, etc.
9. Someone very close to me said this in the early 70's, before passing away: The biggest threat to the United States will be Communism and that one day it will be proven that McCarthey was right about the infiltration of the Communists into the American Government.
Guess What: Files released from the KGB contained the names of the individuals McCarthy was trying to root out as either members of friends of the Communist Party!! IN OUR OWN GOVERNMENT! Not much has changed.
It is no stretch of the imagination then that supporters of John Kerry could be behind the IVAW. Just when you thought Clinton could sink no lower, you would be fooled again. Kerry is a carbon copy but a bigger fool and not as smart.
My sincere hope is that after 35 years that ALL VETS will finally wake up and realize that we have been sleeping for far too long. This is no joke about taking America back!!
The Swift Boat Vets, in my opinion, deserve the award for DUTY ABOVE AND BEYOND THE CALL TO COUNTRY, DECENCY, INTEGRITY AND HONOR.
According to John Kerry, "I will reclaim America's integrity and respect".
Not so John, you have no integrity or respect!!!!
We, the Veterans will teach YOU, in 60 days, INTEGRITY and RESPECT.
(Longer than I planned, but no apoligies, thanks)
