And while Kerry may be worried about veterans' support in America, Sinh said he would vote any day for his former enemy over President Bush. In the veteran's opinion, Kerry's experience along these rivers fighting Viet Cong might keep him from sending other young Americans to invade countries. |
The NYT actually thinks this will help Kerry because an ex-VC thinks he deserves his medals. _________________ Viet era Vet

I guess we know more of who his "Foreib Supporters" are that he did not want to name! _________________ U.S. Army 1983-1995, 11C1P/11H2P NBTDT |

Relevant to the lack of damage and casualties in Kerry accounts
of one or more actions:
"The 50-foot Swift boats were easy targets as they
plowed through the waterways of the Mekong Delta
in packs of three or four, making big waves and
thunderous noise when approaching. Former Viet
Cong soldier Duong Hoang Sinh remembers them well ..."
Of course, this guy goes immediately on to describe
such an action that was devastating for his VC unit. |

Too bad he didn't mention seeing one swift boat cut and run
Of course, by his own account, he only fired on Swift boats once and afterwards, was sent elsewhere. He may attest to the overall bravery of the Swift Boat crews, but it hardly indicates Kerry was amongst them at the time. _________________ Clark County Conservative |

Also relative to the fact that Sen. Kerry probably couldn't have used these boats for "secret" ops into Cambodia. _________________ U.S.M.C. - 1969-1971
