You're doing yourself a dis-service if you don't include www.andrewsullivan.com as a daily surfing port-of-call. |

Agreed.
It really stresses the leftist media moguls that they cannot censor or suppress such Internet sites.
p.s. Readers, be sure to email all of your military buddies this list. |

Oh my God. Talk about group think.
If you want to be truly informed, read a balanced diet of information from all different sources.
Just stikcing to approved "conservative" opinion will doom you to eternal stupidity, just as sticking to only "liberal" opinion will do the same.
Read everything.
You might actually learn something from those you disagree with on occassion. I know I do.
Frankly, I think the folks who hide away in ideological spider holes have a big problem with intellectual cowardice and low self-esteem.
It's as though you don't have the mental capacity to read contrary opinins, or stories with facts that don't fit your worldview. So, in order to avoid having to actually THINK about things, and challenge your worldview, you run away like cowards to only those sources that say things you agree with.
Pathetic, really. |

What's pathetic Hesiod is that we have to resort to conservative Blogs to find some balance for the effete elite media. I presume from your tone that Indymedia is your primary source of fair and balanced news.
BTW, I read the WAPO and the NYT daily. Then I go to Insight Mag, The American Spectator, The Washington Times, and the Blogs to get a taste of truth. A truly balanced purely neutral media source doesn't exist.
Thank God for Blogs. _________________ "History tells us that appeasement does not lead to peace. It invites an aggressor to test the will of a nation unprepared to meet that test." --Ronald Reagan |

I agree. Thank God for Blogs.
They do have a tendency to expose the B.S. in the mainstream media.
For example, the New York Times just admitted that it got taken to the cleaners by Ahmed Chalbi and reported bogus WMD stories about Iraq.
Thanks to bloggers (and others) the heat was kept up on the NYT to come clean in their coverage and kick the lying neocon hack reporter, Judith Miller to the curb. |

Pathetic response, Hes. You'll simply have to try much harder. |

If you want to try a site that practices civility, decorum and no flaming, try:
http://www.annoyedman.com/xmb/index.php
There are plenty of posts with members on all sides of all issues. And we keep it respectful!
