http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,131118,00.html
According to this Associated Press interview picked up by Fox News, Karl Rove said
"It was a period [1971] of intense feeling on both sides for and against the war, but I think that was painting with far too broad a brush to tarnish the records and service of people who were defending our country and fighting communism and doing what they thought was right,"
Rove admitted that Bush's rival "served with valor" in Vietnam, and did not weigh in on the controversy over Kerry's medals.
But it is interesting that Karl Rove is actively joining the criticism of Kerry's anti-war activities (and baseless accusations against veterans) after the Vietnam war. Maybe SBVT does have a friend in the White House! _________________ The traitor will crater! |

Yep - after all, McCain said that Kerry's actions after Vietnam was fair play. So Kerry can't very well complain about what Rove said because he'll just be pointed back to McCain. Will be interesting to see what happens next. |

Now Kerry's sychophants have leaped on the Rove comment as proof of SBVT and WH collusion. Of course Cleland at the fore, along with BOB Kerrey, who, in response to a question about SBVT said; "Oh, F... them" and you can quote me. _________________ Retired USN Capt.; Market Time vicinity ChuLai 6/67-2/68; Maddox 8/64 Tonkin Gulf; NGFS I Corps 6-12/65; Saigon evac. 4/75. |

What they DON'T point out is that Cark Rove is and always has been a registered Democrat. I just LOVE that everytime he opens his mouth. The media and the dems keep that little factoid to themselves. It is evidence that Bush really did and does try to make friendly gestures to the left, Rove is that proof. It's just that most times, the friendly extension of the Bush right hand, is responded to with the right back hand to the cheek. That's the liberal way. |

Uh....Rove was the head of the national college Republicans, he quit college after a couple of years to take on the job. Bush got to know him when he was working on #41's campaign. I don't think Karl Rove is a dem. |
