|
|
Wednesday morning 01 Sept 04
No Spin Zone, talk radio
Did I hear Bill O'Reilly state that he was hosting John O'Neill next week? That he wanted a chance to first read Unfit For Command?
Significant - may be a chance for BOR to redeem himself.
Pardon this entry if event was previously reported or misconstrued - I couldn't find a thread relating.

Nothing will redeem BOR in my eyes, as far as I'm concerned.
But, I'd sure like to see John O'Neill get a fair hearing, without being told to "shut up." _________________ ~ Echo Juliet ~

How could a so called reporter, not have read UFC, when all of us "Bubbas" have? Just goes to show the utter bias that exists with BOR and Chrssy M. |

It would be nice to see BOR have on one of the "slime peddlers", as he put it.
I want to see O'Reilly eat some dirt. |

Boy, what an admission. After he slammed the swiftvets time and time again....we find that he has not even read the book.
He can have no redemption in my eyes now, even if has oneil on the show and treats him fairly....even if he goes whole hog for the swiftvets. He has lost all credibility. _________________ "And no pair has been more wrong, more loudly, more often, than the two Senators from Massachusetts, Ted Kennedy and John Kerry"

HE NEEDS TIME TO READ THE BOOK!
Welll, that makes me laugh, all this time he has been so uppity about
the Swiftvets and he has not read the book.
If Mr. O'Neill goes on , he better treat him right or he is in REAL trouble.
Mr. O'Neill should take a copy of "The New Soldier" to give to Bor as
I am sure he will not have read that charming book! _________________ Swiftvets rock!

Evidently BOR was waiting to see if Unfit for Command would actually make the NYTimes bestseller list before he deigned to read it. If BOR gives O'Neill a hard time and cuts him off you can bet we're gonna be on his case in a flash. BOR better be nice because I've had it with this PC c**p in dealing with the media's cast of high-octane-egomaniacal dipwads.. We'll just send Zell over to blast his you know what. _________________ Nomorelies Make a donation HERE |

I don't trust him -- I've been telling him to read the book for weeks or just shut up. Maybe he's finally seeing that he's been on the wrong side. If he's planning an attack, he'll get 50 e-mails from me, just for a start! But I agree, I can't forgive or forget his irresponsible arrogance in this matter and the sweeping, nasty judgments he passed on the Swiftees without even reading the book.
(I'm sure if John does agree to go on, he is fully aware of what he might be walking into....) |

No need to worry about that. Earlier this evening I saw O'Neill appear on what I think is a local show here in Boston hosted by Barry Nolan. It's a typical hardcore liberal mouthpeice show. Nolan tried being Chrissy Matthews and started talking over O'Neill everytime he tried to answer the questions, and O'Neill let him have it with both barrels. Told him he was behaving like an infant or something similar, and that he wouldn't continue if he was going to keep doing it.
Nolan was completely stunned. |

I'm not about to Champion Bill O'Reilly on this issue - I feel he hasn't cut the Swifties any slack whatsoever, perhaps the most transparent display of bias in BOR's history.
I, as others here, have written a few emails to him stating thus. The majority of his radio audience fought him on this topic and many posts to that effect were made by 'premium members' of his website, some of the members of this forum have undoubtedly seen what I'm alluding to. Was odd to hear BOR espouse bias against the Swifties considering he (I assume) has no dog in this fight.
Having said that, I've been listening to O'Reilly for a long time, he's normally a fair guy and, OUTSIDE OF THIS ISSUE, I respect him. I give him credit for coming around to respond to his critics and acknowledge the light of fairness - at least to read the book and give John a microphone.
Shall reserve final judgement for Bill's demeanor and comments after the show (for now, I'll separate the baby from the bathwater on this one). Millions of folks will be watching / listening...could be very, very good media time for John and the SBVT.
If BOR blows it, I'll likewise cancel my membership to his site and send my copy of WLOFY back to him.

Every since Fox's MAN AT THE TOP ENDORSED Kerry Big Bill has been Spinning it for Kerry. Bill is kissing it up to his boss as Bill is a lot like Kerry. He spins it which ever side his bread is buttered on.
Hannity is still hitting it hard against Kerry, but goffy Combs cuts in when it gets good and spins in the twisted garbage.
The Swift Boat Veterans For Thuth has the Media flip- flop'n all over the place as they don't know what to do with the truth. They want to say we told ya so which ever way it ends up.
Swiftties, Keep it up and don't let the media and Kerry's puppets drown out the truth. You are our beacon for hope and we Vietnam Vet's who served with honor are with you all the way. _________________ Viet Nam Vet - PBR 120 Boat 68/69 |

I've been a BOR Premium Member (PM) for quite a while and I invited Mr. O, through the Feedback Zone message board topic threads, the PM private e-mail form, and the oreilly@foxnews.com and bill.oreilly@foxnews.com e-mail addresses, to please go to www.swiftvets.com and read what was being said about him.
Maybe between his site, this site, phone calls, faxes, e-mail, and snail mail, he finally got the message. PMers are now requesting he give Mr. O'Neill at least 2 or 3 segments, while I am requesting he seriously consider having him on for the entire show, i.e., a one-hour special.
Anxiously awaiting Tuesday 07 September 2004 and am cautiously optimistic. _________________
