So what you're saying is that the Department of the Navy requires input from a social club to be told how it should proceed?

Please!

Have you been to their website? I wouldn't exactly call them a "social club"

The Navy has plenty of SOP on how to proceed in such matters, and one man's opinion at USNI isn't suddenly going to mean that the Navy is going to open up a can of whoop-ass on a 30-year-old record.

I agree, what the Navy will do is the question. But you must see that for some, the source of an allegation is more important than the facts of the allegation. The Navy will not act unless they are strongly compelled to do so. However, if the allegation is verified by a source that carries great weight with the Navy then they are more likely to take it seriously.

Geez, folks, there's bigger fish to fry on what may well be a typo in someone's records. I know there's a few in my own! Should I turn myself in and throw myself at the mercy of the US Naval Institute?

Get the big picture here. It is not that there could be a typo on a form. The problem is that we do not have any official documents except the ones Kerry has released. (note to John: SIGN THE FORM 180). The allegation is that John Kerry is a pathalogical liar and a traitor to the country. The medals controversy is just part of the overall story, but it is an important part because it establishes the beginning of the pattern of lying.

Please copy and paste your comments to this duplicate thread:

http://www2.swiftvets.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=7234

so that I can close this one.

Duplicate threads take up space and bump other topics off of the front page - that's why we try to hard to keep the duplicates eliminated.
The front page of this particular forum needs to have as many different topical, news-based threads going on as wide a variety of events as possible.

Thank you! Wink
