After the Swifties win, and they will, wouldn't it be great to have a celebration of some sort? We could all get together somewhere with the Swifties and celebrate. We could wear nametags that have our member names to identify each other.

Guys, let's not jinx ourselves. Perish the thought, and keep the eye on the ball. Don't even think about the word party for the next 60 days. |

You gotta be kidding. Over 60 days until the election is a LIFETIME in politics. Remember how quickly Dean came crashing to the ground after every pundit all but guaranteed he would be the Demo nominee?
Never lift your eyes from the ball and start thinking about the celebration or you will surely lose. |

I think it will get a lot dirtier before this is over.
Then everyone will just want to take a long hot bath and thank God it is finally over. |

We're going to have a lot of ups and a lot of downs between now and then.
Let's try not to get carried away with either extreme. A few days ago, I was running around trying to cheer a bunch of you up.
Let's celebrate the gains modestly and not let the small obstacles plunge us into despair.
It's a long way to November 2nd - keep on sluggin' away with the facts, no matter which way blows any particular day's fortune. Hang in there! _________________ ~ Echo Juliet ~

this thead should me moved to the off-topic thread...and the Zell Miller Critique of John Kerry posts should be moved back here.
Thinking of a Party is a massive mistake at this point. The election will be close regardless of ANY polling data.
If you think Kerry is unfit to Command....its not time to lose focus |

This one?
Sen. Zell Miller - Comment here
http://www2.swiftvets.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=7170
We're letting it stay here even though it's off-topic, because we're getting slammed with duplicates when we move it to off-topic.
This topic began as as Swift topic - that's what the front page is for. _________________ ~ Echo Juliet ~

Indead the battle for the oval office will really just begin tomorrow.
I think we need stoke the fires and work very very hard every day right up to the election.
NO POLL LEAD IS SAFE!!
The Kerry campaign and the lib 527s are going to spend tons of money. Maybe twice as much as the Bush campaign.
Before campaign finance the republicans had a significant advantage in fundraising. Now I would say that it is very much to Kerry's advantage.
They also have a great number of groud troops. The unions, moveon, act and others have tons of workers to man the phones and get out the vote.
If we are going to defeat Kerry we will need to work for it. This won't be easy. |

Amen to that, noc! It is NOT going to be easy and we can't afford to underestimate the opponent. _________________ ~ Echo Juliet ~

It would be reckless to be considering any party at this time. The only clear objective is the destruction of Kerry's political career. Even though the polls are indicating momentum for the president, we know that kerry still has his band of brothers networks doing everything they can to smear the swiftvets and anybody who remotely support the swifties. CBS is coming out with the Ben barnes interview. Kerry is unleashing millions of dollars of tv ad buy. As far as I am concerned, there is no victory until that traitor sinks in utter disgrace on election night. Until then, I will continue to assume that the race is still tight, and what we can discuss any celebratory plans on November 3. |

What the others have said, dont be surprised Kerry starts going up in the polls, in fact expect GW Bush to start losing again. Now more than ever pressure must be applied against Kerry and all he stands for. _________________ John Kerry, R.I.P. (Rot In Paris) |
