This site has an article re: Kerry's deferment request. Do you Vets agree??

Somewhere on this site I saw info that John Kerry had applied for and received (4) deferments but was denied the 5th as he was about to GRADUATE.
I think that Kerry was IN THE RESERVE (Naval) and WAS CALLED UP was he not???? Isn't that the SAME SCENARIO as President Bush?? (Except Bush was Air Force Reserve)? The only difference is that he (Kerry) was CALLED UP AND BUSH WAS NOT??
KERRY refers to Cheney's deferments??(what is the straight scoop?) Would not Cheney be just as able to ask for deferments?) You professional and informed military personnel please help us correctly define the information that is out there about KERRY, BUSH, AND CHENEY please.
Also, in Misty's post "John Kerry's Trail Of Treachery..a timeline" Kerry went to Paris to visit with reps of the Viet Cong?? He endorsed them!! Can someone please research his activities in France and inform us in detail. How can we support a man who ENDORSED A REGIME THAT WAS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE SECOND DOCUMENTED HOLOCAUST????? (That our PRESS remains silent about?? These people wiped out the intellectuals and achievers?? Why are people ignoring all of the horrible decisions and activities of John Kerry. Even Jane Fonda has apologized! Though she can never "unring that bell" she recognizes the harm that she caused.
Kerry has an advantage in his pathological style. He lies so much and so often about so many things it is hard to track and document! Phew!
Please help.

Actually, Bush was in the ANG.
Apparently candidate Kerry was turned down for his fifth deferment and decided to join the Navy to avoid being drafted. It takes a while to get a OSC slot (in my case it took me 4 1/2 months to get an Air Force OTS slot but I had a critical skills deferment so being drafted wasn't an issue for me) so the Navy enlisted him into the Navy Reserve to keep him from being drafted in the meantime. I suspect this was pretty standard.
Most active duty officers serve in the reserve component of their branch of service as reserve on extended active duty. The services have a much smaller regular component of officers - most of which are academy graduates. |

With all of the media except the web on Skerry's side, we need to find out what happened in Paris & we need to find out it first. Kerry is no doubt spending money like crazy to keep things quiet until after the election and he has lots of money to draw from.
If he gets it buried, our country could be in serious trouble! (' ')

Well some media outlet or organization with some credibility had better get on this because there is a scant 8 weeks left ! These stories have been all over the 'net and the radio talk shows for longer than that, and the Kerry mouthpieces have been doing a good job of deny, obfuscate, and deflect the claims of the SBVs.
I also am waiting for some serious investigative reporting.

BTW, I am not so sure about Kerry having 4 deferments prior to the one which we know was denied. It would make sense that he had educational deferments, but I doubt there were 4 of them. I am not sure when the draft was implemented, but I think Kerry's request for deferment may have been his first exposure to the draft. He joined the Naval Reserves to protect himself as much as possible. I know other people who did the same thing rather than get called into the infantry. If Kerry had been granted the deferment, he would have no doubt gone to Paris and worked on his anti-war activities there.
