Kerry's book in 1971 was called "The New Soldier", thank you TrueGrit
for letting me know. Subconsciously I think I kept referring to to it as
the Last Soldier because of Kerry's single handed destruction of the military, not just by his actions at the Senate "testimony" but because of
his remarks that our military should be ruled by the UN and that he voted
against technology that would strengthen our weapons and against body
armor, new housing for today's soldiers.
