Kerry: Iraq Death Tally a Tragic Milestone

WASHINGTON (AP) - Democratic presidential candidate John Kerry
on Tuesday called U.S. military deaths in the Iraq conflict passing
1,000 a ``tragic milestone.''

``More than 1,000 of America's sons and daughters have made the
ultimate sacrifice,'' the four-term Massachusetts senator said in a
statement. ``Our nation honors their service and joins with their
families and loved ones in mourning their loss. We must never
forget the price they have paid and we must meet our sacred
obligation to all our troops to do all we can to make the right
decisions in Iraq so that we can bring them home as soon as
possible.''

The Associated Press tally includes 998 U.S. troops and three
civilian contractors killed while working for the Pentagon. The
tally was compiled by the AP based on Pentagon records, AP
reporting from Iraq, and reports from soldiers' families.
Kerry said ``today marks a tragic milestone in the war in
Iraq.''

Johns up to his old tricks again.

They will be called War Criminals next.

He's already alledged that Rumsfeld gave orders.

You have a forked tongue, traitor Kerry. Our troops reject your definition of honor, no matter what words you use, now or ever.

Bravo Sierra ---

Kerry and the DNC have been gleefully counting down to 1,000

(I think I hear champagne corks popping from here --- or at least high five hand slaps).

If you go into any chat room or on any liberal forum there is some liberal lunatic saying 1,000 dead. So much for the caring liberals ---- they hate the military --- you can't hate the military without including the men and women who serve in your venom.

The same old compassionate John Kerry from the Vietnam war. Still scrambling over the bodys of fallen soldiers to advance his political career.

Kerry's press release about the 1,000 deaths milestone, coupled with his announcement that he will withdraw within his first term could very well put American troops in jeopardy in Iraq -- for he is signaling very clearly that he wants to get out of Iraq as quickly as possible.

This creates an incentive for the Baathists and Al-Sadr's Mehdi army to try to create as many casualties among U.S. troops as they can between now and Nov.

Opportunistically, kerry is once again betraying the American serviceman and servicewoman in Iraq -- for his self-serving political ends, just as he did in 1970-71.

We all need to write letters and emails, and get on the phone, to the Democrats in Congress and the U.S. Senate who still support this betrayer of American fighting men -- and to tell them that Kerry could bring their party down, lock stock and barrel. They need to disassociate themselves from his campaign.

Keep up the pressure.

They have been doing exactly that--as if one thousand was a magic number that meant something.

These people are truly stupid.

Just shows how morally bankrupt that party is. They're issuing press releases on this???!! What the H**l is a "tragic milestone"? The first guy who died over there was a tragic milestone for his family and so was number 1,000. Along with everyone in between. So were each and every individual who was killed on Sept 11th and in Afghanistan, and on the USS Cole and so on.

But those of us who serve, do so (and did so) knowing that we might be called to give our lives in defense of freedom and although we grieve for those who do just that, we also honor their sacrifice by recognizing that each one is a young life cut short. Cut short not so someone at the DNC or AP can keep count and attempt to bank some political capital, but so that the world we inhabit for a short time might someday be a safer place for our children.

To think of these fools at the DNC and Associated Press keeping some sort of body count disgusts me. What a gruesome bunch of morally bankrupt cowards. Shame on them.

The terrorists are so anxious to see Kerry elected that they will go out of their way to kill more American soldiers between now and election day and this is because of John Kerry and the party.
