I finished reading the book for the 2nd time this afternoon and the one thing that is really sticking out in my mind is this:
JK has stated that he has 'negotiated treaties with foreign dignataries in the past'. OK, name one Senator that has done this? Yep, that's right, zero; however, the two trips to Paris are most likely what he is discussing. Yep, the two trips in which he met with Madame Binh, et al to negotiate the release of POW's to the VVAW. OK, first of all, that is a Federal Offense. Second of all, the war was still on going hot and heavy and no matter how anyone wants to spin it, that IS giving aid and comfort to the enemy during a time of war. Thirdly, Mr. Kerry, whether he liked it or not, was still a member of the Naval Inactive Reserve. This is not simply someone exercising their Constitutional rights, but rather a radical group who was undermining the US government. For the trolls, this is not 'me talking', this is straight from the 20,000+ pages of FBI documents that were produced while the FBI shadowed this terrorist group.
Why aren't we hearing more about this? _________________ Click 4 SEC Sports Talk

The whole point of the second SBVT ad was to open the door to this discussion. So far, the MSM has pretty much ducked this one. One of the unfortuante side effects of the firestorm produced by the first ad was a kind of fatigue for the story, setting in just as the second ad, the POW ad, was aired.
Be careful too how the Kerry campaign characterizes these things and gets you to follow their line. They are setting the frame around the subject to show it in the light they prefer. No one knows that the duscussions were about freeing POWs, or only about that; or that it was negotiation, not simply collaboration - briefing Kerry on what their goals were and how he could enable them in the "American Theater of Operations."
The fact is, he espoused their goals and recommended their demands, in the testimony and elsewhere, as later published by them in Paris, item for item. Just a coincidence? _________________ For The Honor of the Fifty-Eight Thousand.

Where are the FBI files available at? Sorry if that's a dumb question. I can't find the book here yet. _________________ American Conservative |

FBI's VVAW Files on Winter Soldier Site
mods/admin: wasn't sure if it was cool to post a link directly to the VVAW's FBI files, but here it is with the code buttons around it.
No, you're cool. EJ _________________ Click 4 SEC Sports Talk

Has anyone taken the time to parse the FBI files to confirm the meetings with Kerry and the NV government or other parties?
Is there still work to be done on going through the files? |

I haven't parsed all the FBI files, but reports on the Nov 71 Kansas City meeting indicate that Al Hubbard negotiated with the North Vietnamese in Paris for the relaese of POW to VVAW, on a trip financed by the Communist Party USA, and a gentleman named Urgo negotiated for POW's in Hanoi.
Also VVAW agreed to send mission to Hanoi to follow up on POW release.
All of this while Kerry was part of the VVAW executive committee. _________________ A Grunt

The best source I know of for those files is http://www.paperlessarchives.com
One thing I do not understand about those declassified documents is why so many of the names have been redacted. _________________ Misty

I went to the paperless archives site and clicked on John Kerry and found this interesting item down on the third document pictured: "Kerry's speech was received by local VVAW supporters as a clear indication that Kerry is an opportunist with personal political aspirations. Therefore ... support has been withdrawn from the New York office in general and from John Kerry in particular." This was from October 1971. |

...Disgusting isn't it? C-BS, the NY Times, and the rest of Old Media are so liberally-biased it has be brain-killing for anyone forced to rely on only them.
Let's face it. Only way the SBFT ever get the things they want fairly covered is to go around them. Talk radio, cable, and your own TV ads. |
