We do have a very powerful voice. I know the reason Bill O'Reilly finally got some sense to have John O'Neill on his show is due to the # of e-mails those of us who post or visit swiftvets.

As a vet, spouse of a retired vet, I would like to know why CBS has yet to have John O'Neill co-author of "Unfit for Command" - NY Times # 1 best seller on your show.

I see you are giving air time to yet once again another smear attack against a sitting war time president...yet I see no repsonse nor hour coverage for Mr. O'Neill's book and the Swiftvets for the Truth about John Kerry.

If CBS wants to keep their viewership they need to wake up and tell both sides of the issues...not just the democratic sides. The other 50% of the American population are conservative. Freedom of Speech is not designed for the left side of every issue - Freedom of Speech is designed for all of us. CBS should REPORT the news not slant it

I encourage everybody to email CBS and let them know just how you feel. I've sent my complaint and sent the address to everybody in my address book. I will watch tonight but only to get a complete list of their sponsors so I can boycott their product. I can't think of any product I will miss as much as I feel mad!

I am a ‘Nam vet with 19 months in- country (USMC, ’65-’69), and I too
despise John Kerry for the way he slandered his comrades. You seem
willing to sell your own books that do nothing but bash a wartime President,
but you won’t give the Swift Vets – 254 who signed a letter saying Kerry
is unfit for CIC – any time at all. You’ll lavish two entire shows to try to
smear the President, but you pay no attention to the greater than 90% of
living Swiftees who don’t want a phony like Kerry to command our armed
forces. You, biased? Oh, no, not you! You have become one of the most
despicable examples of yellow journalism that our country’s great history
of a free and un-biased press has ever witnessed. While being a stooge and
mouthpiece – for financial gain, no less – for the President’s detractors, you
have lost all credibility. I used to respect 60 Minutes, but no longer. I haven’t
watched your worthless biased program in years, and I can tell you that I
know no veterans who believe anything you say any longer. When are you going
to tell the truth about Kerry? How can you ignore the eyewitness testimony of
more than 60 Swift Boat vets? The only vets who seem to support Kerry also
seem to enjoy the custom jet, accommodations, and other “expenses” they get.
What promises have been made to the 8 or so “band of brothers”? Please don’t
call yourselves what you are not any longer: journalists. You are nothing but paid
shills, and nobody who works there has any sense of honor whatsoever. Get a job!

I stopped watching 60 Minutes, and CBS News in general, in the early 80s after they did a couple of stories on subjects about which I had personal knowledge. Both were the most one-sided pieces of crap imaginable, and both did long term damage to the subjects of their so-called "investigations". It made me forever doubt everything that comes out of that particular organization, and the MSM in general. My advice to everyone since then has been to take everything they say with a grain of salt.
