Hey, nobody should be surprised by this!
A few years ago, Babylon 5 had a great episode about a press corrupted by politicians, titled "The Illusion of Truth". The key figure was a TV Newsman named....
"Dan Randall"!
Well, hey, Capt. Sheridan overcame. (Fictional, but inspiring. Whereas
the Swifties are real, and inspiring!)
I'll be looking for the complete list of e-mail or company addresses! _________________ Paul R. |

I TiVo-ed it so I wouldn't have to watch anything but the ads--Bear in mind that some of the advertisers are local so it would probably be good for a few more folks to give their lists, too, to make it more comprehensive--
Allegra
Home Depot (Ouch!)
Vioxx
Sprint PCS
UPS Store
Campbells Soup
Morgan Stanley
Cingular
Pepcid Complete
Infiniti
Majestic Star Casino (probably local to Chicago area)
Estee Lauder Cosmetics
Carson Pirie Scott
Kleenex
Wellbutrin XL
Lowes
Toyota
Will start with this and look forward to see additions from others--
I've had my cell phone serivce with Cingular (CellularOne) for twelve years--Looks like I'll be in search of a new carrier when my contract's up--Hate to have to do that, but fair's fair (and CBS isn't)--C _________________ “I haven’t seen anyone milk this much out of a bad boat ride since Gilligan” -- Dennis Miller |

Campbells is out..no more tomato soup for me..gave us hearburn anyway
I decided to read the transcript..could not stomach watching a Rather love fest..and I almost gagged on my coke..this is taken from the transcript which is posted on the cbs news website:
DAN RATHER:
You're a Democrat. Lifelong Democrat. You're a supporter of John Kerry. Fair to say that you're in Sen. Kerry's inner circle?
BEN BARNES:
I don't know that I'm in his inner circle. I know I'm a supporter of Sen. Kerry. And I've supported him from the very first.
DAN RATHER:
You know that there are people who seeing this are going to say, "Well, Ben Barnes came forward now because he wants to help Sen. Kerry's campaign." How do you answer that?
BEN BARNES:
Well, I've been helping Sen. Kerry's campaign from the first day announced. And when I started being quoted on the Internet, and being quoted other places, some as I said, correctly, or-- and other times, incorrectly, I just thought it was time for me to once and for all, there was just too much speculation. There are too many people that are putting words in my mouth.
Too many things that were being said that were wrong. I decided that I wanted to set the record set. And I wanted to let the American people know exactly what happened.
..and herein lies the MSM fraud..shame on them..just look at Kerry's website ..well, well..
Half the time this fool could "not recall, or not remember" after all he says it was over 30 years ago..then he should shut up..and what better record can our President have than being CIC for four years and doing a fine job I might add. He more than completed his duty..now Senator Kerry where are YOUR records? Sign the 180..Bush did, hmmmmmmmm..get ready folks it is going to be a long stretch..but the truth will prevail..it will..
time for ad emails from prouddaughter and proud daddy..he said he likes Prego soup better anyway...

Good job, I politely let them know that their financial support of programs that undermine our countries efforts to prevent a Beslan from occuring here, in the best interest of my children, I will no longer buy their product but the more economical brands. If they don't value quality, why should I? _________________ American Conservative |

Not to be repetitive, but each time we e-mail one of these advertisers, we need to cc. CBS, CBS News, 60 Minutes II, your local CBS affiliate, and the advertising departments of CBS and the local affiliates so that they know that the advertisers really were contacted and how often--Keep in mind that while the corporate entities will be interested, it's the sales departments that actually have to deal with the advertisers--Those guys need to know that people are contacting their clients and will cause a further stink with the Big Guys--
My letter tells each advertiser that due to the blatant bias that CBS no longer even attempts to disguise, I will be avoiding their products until such time as both 60 Minutes programs and Dan Rather are no longer on the air--I've had it with this nonsense--C _________________ “I haven’t seen anyone milk this much out of a bad boat ride since Gilligan” -- Dennis Miller |

Hello,
Ben Barnes
Quote: | Ben Barnes talks in an exclusive interview with Dan Rather on 60 Minutes about helping George W. Bush get into the Texas Air National Guard. |
Sounds like he does favors. In this case one for Kerry. LOL!
It was a speech pre-written by the Kerry team.
It is a joke. He was never asked to help GWB nor did he need Barnes help.
What is so funny is that when he said he was not trying to hurt Bush he then talks about deserters, draft dodgers running off to Canada. What do you call that. He was trying to make a comparison.
No evidence to back up his story and he like Kerry admitted guilt. In this case he did favors using his position of influence to get people into the guard. This is a criminal act.
Lets get the facts straight.
The guards were not closed and no one needed any special help to join.
You took a test and if you passed you became a member of the Armed Forces.
Dan Rather who replaced Walter Cronkite lost it.
Remember him saying he was attacked by some guys who asked him: "Dan, what is the frequency?"
Did you notice that Dan just stares. He gives me the willies.
I think Dan is mad because the Bush family refused to give him interviews from the very beginning.
Here is a couple sites to check out..

In my part of Texas it was not shown at the scheduled time. It was to run much later, even after Davie Letterman. I guess our CBS affiliate knew better. _________________ Home in Lubbock Texas, home of the Vietnam Project at Texas Tech University. A place visited frequently by Navy Chief. |

That was the basis of the REM song that goes "What's the frequency, Kenneth?" Rather was attacked by a schizophrenic that thought that if the people on TV would tell him the right frequency, he could jam it and stop the voices in his head. Rather has had some of the weirdest things happen to him.
If Dan Rather gives you the willies, then you will love the song "Rocked By Rape" at http://evolution-control.com/cbs.html
http://evolution-control.com/sounds/The%20Evolution%20Control%20Committee%20-%20Rocked%20By%20Rape.mp3
To get back to the topic, I think voters will see through this. Somehow, Kerry's campaign has convinced itself that Texans For Truth and this Barnes interview are the same as the Swift Boat Vets. The trouble is, the Swiftees have so much real documentation of Kerry's service and pattern of abuse of it, that there just is no comparison. There can be no "he said, she said" when you put up the actual pictures and voice of John Kerry testifying to war crimes. |

My Email to campbells
Dear Campbell's Soup Company
I was extremely dissapointed to see you were a sponsor this evening on 60 minutes II.
Your sponsorship of that show leaves me and my family no choice but to BOYCOTT ALL of your products, unless you pull all of your advertising from 60 Minutes shows.
Dan rather in his report failed to mention that the subject, Barnes, was a Kerry operative that had contributed in excess of 300,000 to democrats.
The subject also has sworn under oath in 1999 that he had no contact with the Bush family.
True Journalism dictates all be disclosed, and what Rather did was Partisan hack politics, and Campbells Participated in it.
With you being a sponsor of that show, My family will no longer be buying any of your brands or products, including Campbells, Pace, Prego, swanson, or V8.
I will be encouraging all of my extended family, friends, and neigbors to BOYCOTT all of your products by brand, to include:
Campbells
Franco-American
Prego
Swanson
Pepperidge Farm
V8

I think it’s time for a Americans for Truth in News, or something like that.
A web site that can keep track of all of the bias news media and their sponsors. _________________ Remember United Flight 93, "Are you guys ready? Let's roll."

Some radio station claimed that 60 minutes said that Barnes was a contributor to the Kerry campaign in the beginning of the show. Is that verifiable? |
